1) The document provides an overview of different test case design techniques including specification based testing, input domain testing, risk based testing, and scenario testing.
2) Specification based testing techniques discussed include analyzing specifications for gaps or contradictions, gathering additional information from developers, and using the 5W1H technique to derive test cases.
3) Input domain testing techniques like equivalence partitioning and boundary value analysis are covered to avoid redundant test cases around inputs.
4) Risk based testing involves imagining how a program could fail, assessing the likelihood and impact of failures, and designing test cases to expose potential failures.
5) Scenario testing uses real user personas and examples of how the software will be used to further
Personas are fictional archetypes that represent the different types of users of a website, product, or service. They are based on research data and user interviews to capture user goals, behaviors, and characteristics. Effective personas are specific, help identify user needs to guide design, and focus the design on a small set of primary personas. They provide a common understanding of users across teams.
Defining Personas is an introduction to the usage of "Personas" in User Experience.
Helps identifying the user groups of the website we're developing...by selecting characteristics of those groups.
The document discusses personas in product design. It begins by defining a persona as a representative profile of a customer base that focuses on how a particular profile uses an application in context. It notes personas are based on real user behaviors and goals but are not actual people. The document then discusses the history of personas stemming from Alan Cooper's work designing programs for specific people. It provides examples of Cooper's personas and how he used them. The document also discusses debates around personas and arguments for and against them. It concludes by providing tips on creating effective personas through user research and examples from companies like PayCycle, MindKey, WaMu, and Workday.
The document discusses user profiles and personas, which are tools used in user-centered design to represent and understand target users. It provides guidance on creating user profiles, including defining a range of user attributes and types of users. Personas are introduced as archetypes of user profiles that make users more relatable. The document outlines how to develop personas through storytelling to foster empathy, and provides examples of persona templates.
This workshop is a precursor to creating full, research-backed personas, and is aimed to externalize what stakeholders already know about their customers - to share prior knowledge and assumptions through experience working at your company, interacting with users, and data generated by users. The provisional personas developed here are also known as: Proto-Personas, Ad Hoc Personas, Strawman Personas, Skeletal Personas, or Pragmatic Personas.
The purpose of persona mapping is to enable you to communicate with different types of personas using language they understand from the way they see the world.
Architects see the world differently that engineers, you have to communicate to them in the world they understand to get your marketing messages across to them.
Give your audience something of value, build trust and credibility, and then introduce your products and services to help them solve their problems. But do this to your target personas communicating in the world they understand.
Get it right and your business will grow from more sales.
How to build a persona - Introduction of the 7C modelRalph Poldervaart
The document introduces the 7C model for building effective personas. The 7Cs are: core values, category needs, category behavior, company value, channel usage, communication, and character. Each C is described in its own section with examples of the types of research needed. An overview of the 7Cs is then provided. The document concludes with next steps for implementing personas, including developing persona stories, communicating them to inspire the organization, and training teams to work with personas.
In this presentation we explore the link between business need and customer need and how to innovate (and remove business problems or discover business opportunities) through persona creation and Design Thinking
The document provides an example case study on the topic of coffee production and deforestation in the Amazon rainforest. It outlines the problem of thousands of acres of rainforest being burned to grow coffee trees. It then summarizes key points from several websites that were researched on this topic, finding that vast amounts of primary forest have been cleared for coffee cultivation, leading to rampant deforestation and impacts to wildlife habitats and migration routes. Potential solutions discussed include crop rotation, replanting forests, and promoting conservation and shade-grown coffee methods to help reduce environmental impacts.
The case is about a sales vice president who must choose between two good sales reps, Lisa Bell and Steven Bellach, to promote to area sales manager. Lisa has been a top performer for 5 years, but lacks field experience. Steven excels at customer relationships but is only supportive and does not drive sales. The vice president must evaluate their strengths and weaknesses based on the company's need for growth, customer satisfaction, and building relationships.
This is a template that MBA or undergraduate business students can use for case study presentations for class or case competitions. It's bare bones, meant to explain the flow of information and suggest some frameworks to use to discuss the problem in a case.

Editor's Notes
Väldigt vanligt misstag hos företag
Folk hade gjort liknande saker innan men termen User Experience, kom 1995
The Design of Everyday Things.
UX baserat på vetenskaper såsom HCI
HCI i sin tur är baserat på bl.a. Kognitionsvetenskap.
Tidiga prototyper can vara papers teckningar
Personas – mindre “forskningsaktigt” men validera “gissningar”
