This document discusses co-producing design fictions as part of everyday utopian practice. It describes how design fictions use science fiction tropes to prototype technologies and systems set within story worlds. The document suggests design fictions and everyday utopianism share similarities in intentionally shaping preferable collective futures through imagination. It proposes co-producing design fictions as a way for communities to enact everyday utopias. As an example, it outlines the Sans Duty Project which aims to create a community-based tax alternative for Brixton modeled after the local Brixton Pound currency, to be developed through workshops, artifacts, and speculative documentaries.
