SAP ISU/CCS – The Customer Care and Services (ISU/CCS) 
Benchmark simulates typical processes in a utilities company. The core 
business processes can be divided into two main processes: 
consumption and revenue collection. For the consumption process, 
three batch jobs are utilized for collecting information – meter-reading 
orders have to be created and printed, and the results have to be 
uploaded into the system. To collect revenues, and additional batch 
jobs – billing the customers, invoicing, and printing the bill – produce 
load on the system. 
SAP IS-U – is SAP’s Industry Specific Solution for Utilities Industry. It 
is also referred to as SAP IS-U/CCS (Customer Care System. This 
solution can be used for the following functions and processes: 
· Managing distributors, points of delivery, and load profiles 
· Managing energy supply contracts and distributor outline 
contracts 
· Creating load forecasts 
· Calculating prices and quotations 
· Preparing and delivering energy to customers 
· Providing the technical framework for the energy supply 
· Providing and registering schedules in a timely manner 
· Exchanging and providing data for distributors and settlement 
coordinators 
· Billing 
· Processing and checking incoming bills for grid usage. 
TPM – TPM is always a big sell, I wish you luck. I was over in the UK 
prior to leaving SAP on a big one. 
Does IBM have that many consultants to do a TPM project? 
Sometimes it’s easier to break up the entire process. 
Headquarters Planning is very time consuming but gets the foot in the 
door. 
The Execution part is more involved. 
Then you got the claims portion etc.
DSM – Require utilities to build a new and different set of relationships 
with their customers as well as each other. Most customers welcome the 
opportunity to participate in maintains the supply – demand balance.
