This document summarizes a study of how 24 schools in Dublin's Docklands area are using technology to support learning. The study found several good practices already in use, including having students create a digital story or documentary using various media, and teachers using interactive whiteboards for whole-class instruction. It identifies a need for additional support strategies, such as designating a technology coach for each school, creating a technology support network, and allocating funding for technical support and teacher professional development in technology integration. The conclusion is that technology provides both challenges and opportunities to develop 21st century skills, and schools need support from all stakeholders to effectively teach with technology.
