LibGuides are library research guides created by librarians that provide curated resources for research. They include search tools, tutorials, videos and other media. Guides are created for courses, subjects, and programs. The university has over 66 guides with over 1,400 views in the past term. Guides benefit students by increasing library use, providing easy access to resources, and improving awareness of research tools. Librarians work with faculty to develop guides tailored to specific classes and assignments.

Parkland College librarians have created over 91 guides that received over 17,500 hits in 2010 and over 100,000 hits in 2011, with the most popular guides being for specific courses. LibGuides benefits both students with relevant resources and faculty by providing a tailored online guide for their class.
