Partnerships between Yellowstone National Park, Xanterra Parks & Resorts, and other organizations have led to numerous sustainability projects that balance environmental protection with visitor services. Successful partnerships require maintaining each party's values while meeting shared goals. Projects range from renewable energy and LEED-certified buildings to alternative transportation and waste reduction programs. Partners contribute funding, technical expertise, and products to help Yellowstone expand sustainability efforts across its large, remote areas in an innovative, collaborative way. Future partnerships could help improve regional infrastructure and capacity for sustainability.

How to Transfer Your Company From an Outsourced Recruiting Model to Direct So...Talemetry
View the webinar recording: http://talemetry.com/resources/webinars/how-to-transform-your-company-from-an-outsourced-recruiting-model-to-direct-sourcing/
In these tough economic times, all organizational costs are being scrutinized, including the cost of recruiting. Unfortunately, the two most widely used methods for finding and attracting talent also happen to be the most costly; recruiting agencies and job advertising.
Many leading organizations have begun to shift away from these traditional, costly methods in favor of a direct sourcing model, where in-house recruiting teams proactively identify top talent, build relationships, and promote open jobs to them. Not only does direct sourcing reduce costs, it is also shown to reduce time-to-hire and increase quality of hire.
This presentation will highlight the key strategies and technologies required to support shifting to a direct sourcing model.
You'll learn:
- The benefits of direct sourcing over the use of traditional recruiting agencies or job advertisements
- The key strategies and technologies required for direct sourcing
- How a talent generation solution like Talemetry can support your direct sourcing initiative

RV 2014: Implementing Equitable TOD: Improving Lives by Rose GrayRail~Volution
Implementing Equitable TOD: Improving Lives AICP CM 1.5
Equitable TOD is more than just development near transit. It is a strategy that envelops the vision, aspirations and interests of low-income stakeholders. Equitable TOD investment provides more housing and transportation choices, new job opportunities, better schools and increased retail. Hear success stories from nonprofit leaders in three distinct market areas who have implemented TOD directly linked to improving the lives of residents with low incomes.

NAB Sustainability Projects Manager, Sandie Pullen presented a case study for our Communicating CSR workshop on the development of an employee champions Network at NAB, titled “Engaging Employees on Climate Change”.
The case study outlined NAB’s approach to corporate responsibility and described the company’s journey to become carbon neutral by September 2010, through the establishment of an employee grassroots campaign, and the introduction of NAB “Green Team” communities.
The green building industry is one of the hottest right now. Construction has always been a major contributor to the economy, and Canada is adding enough new buildings every year that over 1,000 kilotons of new emissions are added to the building sector's footprint - compounded every year. The same market in the US adds almost 10 times more. This is obviously a problem.
The Green Building sector is making a significant impact at reversing this trend. Mindscape's partners are leading the way: our latest projects are pursuing net-zero, cost effectively. LEED Platinum is not only affordable, but it's making money for the building owners. Green material costs are continually becoming more competitive as suppliers adapt to the requirements of green building programs. There are brighter days ahead.

In the latest in MEEA's Marketing Energy Efficiency webinar series, Drew McCartt, Senior Vice-President at Event Marketing Strategies talks about how face-to-face marketing through events is impacting the growth of energy efficiency in the Midwest. Experiential marketing, utilizing interactive and mobile staffed displays, combined with traditional marketing, is helping utility companies educate consumers and market their lighting, appliance recycling, and enrollment programs.
Kevin Duffy with ICF International discusses the impact and marketing strategies used for We Energies’ community-based education and outreach program, “Way to Save, Burlington!” The pilot is designed to engage all segments of the community by encouraging behavioral changes and connecting customers to existing programs and incentives.
