About me

• I graduated from the University of Plymouth with a bachelors
  degree in Biological Sciences.

• I qualified as a High School teacher in the United Kingdom and
  worked for several years as a substitute teacher.

• I moved to Winnipeg in 2001.

• I received my Manitoba Teachers Certificate in 2004.
About me

• I have over 6 years experience in designing and delivering
  courses to adults.

• I am currently finishing off a Certificate in Adult Education at
  the University of Manitoba.

• This is my second year at the Aboriginal Community Campus.

Class rules
• Classes start at 9.00am and Finish at 12.00pm

• Coffee Break starts at 10.00am – 10.15am

• Sign in everyday

• Ask for help if you need to and help others
  when they ask

• There are no classes on a Friday afternoon
Absentee and make up policy
• If you have to miss class make sure you;

  – Call the school at 989 8860
  – Send an email to Upgrading_staff@abcentre.org
  – Bring in some documentation to explain your
    absence


• You must ask your classmates for notes that
  you may have missed
Grading system



•In order to graduate from Upgrading Math you
must receive an overall mark of 70%

    The classroom atmosphere is friendly, fun and encouraging.

  develop mathematical reasoning
