EMPLOYMENT:
As the Lead Surgical TechnologistI work closely with the OR Manager
on staffingand the schedulingcases for the day. I handle sick calls,
schedulingassignments, as well as the delegatingof duties for all of
the the Surgical Technologist in my department. I also conduct
2. interviews for the hiringof Surgical Technologiststaff and training
newly hiredstaff. In my Surgical TechnologistScrubbingrole, I assist
the Surgeon in the OperatingRoom duringsurgical procedures,
anticipatingall of his/her surgical needs. I dawn the surgeons,
residents, medical students and assistants. I pass instruments, hold
retractors, cut suture, and anticipate the surgeons needs. At the end
of the procedure I often staple the skin apply the dressingto the
patient, and help transfer the patient to the PACU as needed. I also
