Professional Summary:
I am a career professional with over 22 years practical experience in mostly acute care
hospital environment involving high volume critical and emergency care in the ICU and
Emergency Department setting. In addition I have had extensive experience in
management and supervisory positions. I have had surgery experience which involved
assessment, counseling and education regarding treatment, medications, laboratory work
interpretation, documentation of care plans and administration of treatments in high
technology environment. I possess broad knowledge of telemetry and ECG
interpretation. I have extensive experience in international transport of critically ill
patients. I am highly experienced and proficient in electronic health records and
manipulation of the computer environment necessary to function in a modern hospital. I
have worked in a very high volume, high acuity level II trauma center Emergency
Department located in a dense urban area in Hartford, CT as an RN. My experience and
skills were quickly recognized by my peers as a result I was rewarded The Nightingale
Prize within 2 years of starting at my new work place. Also, I was given increasing levels
of responsibility including precepting newly graduated RN’s and taking on triage and
charge nursing positions.
In the past 5 years I have been instrumental in growing and managing an Urgent Care
system in Central Connecticut, New Englands Urgent Care. I in partnership with Dr.
Michael Gutman led the team that opened and grew the present 4 clinics. This included
decision making and significant input into budget, site selection, design and supply to
make them viable entities. Under title of Clinical Director I supervise the day to day
operations and overall financial status. In addition I oversee clinical (Nursing, Medical
assistants, X-ray technicians, Front desk Personell, and middle management) quality
assurance, decide on hiring of all personell, carry out the overall vision and strategy of
