Google Mapmaker
Google Map Maker is a web based application which enables the user to
create his own features on the Map Maker Front End. The system also
provides access to various features like adding landmarks, buildings, Water-
bodies etc
Report Map Issue
The purpose of this project is to resolve maintenance request
submitted by users on Google maps. These RMIs(Report Map
Issues) are reported for UI defects on Google Maps.
Special Projects
 Highway Signs : A highway sign is a feature type that captures
information from roadside signboards about highway exits and
transitions. This information is used in directions routing to provide
detailed instructions.
 Route consistency : Route Consistency is making a route consistent
throughout the stretch by identifying route’s start/end points, identifying
and removing leakages or duplicates, so that Pathfinder(Algorithm) is
able to direct the user through the prioritized and desired routes among

 Point of interests : Point of interest (POI) mapping is a core mapping
stage, which enhances Google maps by providing important place
locations and pleasant aesthetic view for users.
