2. DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of this project is to resolve maintenance request submitted by users on Google Maps. The project is the
merging of cartography, statistical analysis, database technology.
Ground Truth Application:
This web based application acts as an interface for adding the Geo Data on Google Maps Database. It has two
modules Management and Issues Module. Users in each module had different privileges. Map search is Google’s
Geocoding Service, and provides this service by storing geographic information and indexing them.
RMI Application:
It’s a process of testing the Geowiki Backend data includes analyzing and correcting. Report Map Issues – RMI’s
issues are created by the user who uses Google map, the issues reported by the user are dealt by GIS Operators.
Trouble shooting these issues is considered to be the most challenging part of the job. This web based application acts
as an interface for adding the Geo Data on Google Maps Database. RMIs are reported for UI defects on Google Maps.
Responsibilities:
