Team 67,
For the week ending 7-16-13 we had 13 UCR Part 1 crimes (7 last week) . It was not a good week for us. There was increase in MV burglaries and given the
proximity of the locations where they occurred, it’s likely the same subject committed them. Be proactive and check vehicles when possible and leave a notice or
business card on the vehicles you find unsecure (and lock it for the citizen). As for the Theft of Rail road property, The arrestee (Mr. Andres Leal (11/22/1980),
has a permit to pick up railroad property but ONLY from the Fair Park area switching yard. If he is seen at any other location investigate and arrest if appropriate under
the circumstances. He has been seen driving a blue 2000 Ford Expedition bearing Ohio license plates FSC5147 and/or White Ford Box Truck bearing Ohio Plates
FSQ5344.
•Reminder that you should be doing your reports out in the field and with few exceptions not coming to the station to do them.
•When call volume permits make citizen contacts (on foot) at businesses and residential areas. The citizens in YOUR area should know you
by name. When you talk to them you should be sharing information about the crime occurring around them so they can be on the lookout of
suspicious activity and possibly help prevent some of the thefts or burglaries from occurring. We can’t be everywhere all the time but we can
get additional eyes on the street by getting citizens involved. Use them as an asset to assist you!
•Also, reminder that last week there were two catalytic converter thefts, although there were none this week that is a crime that
•comes in waves and we are due again. Keep an eye out for business with fleets.
•Night time patrol (B & C shift) need to increase traffic contacts. I realize staffing and call volume may be a factor in your low
•numbers but use every opportunity to turn on your overheads (traffic contact or delta stop) in the hot spots we identified in the District meeting.
Keep up the proactive activity and CONTACTS, CONTACTS, CONTACTS!

  • 15. Team 67, For the week ending 7-16-13 we had 13 UCR Part 1 crimes (7 last week) . It was not a good week for us. There was increase in MV burglaries and given the proximity of the locations where they occurred, it’s likely the same subject committed them. Be proactive and check vehicles when possible and leave a notice or business card on the vehicles you find unsecure (and lock it for the citizen). As for the Theft of Rail road property, The arrestee (Mr. Andres Leal (11/22/1980), has a permit to pick up railroad property but ONLY from the Fair Park area switching yard. If he is seen at any other location investigate and arrest if appropriate under the circumstances. He has been seen driving a blue 2000 Ford Expedition bearing Ohio license plates FSC5147 and/or White Ford Box Truck bearing Ohio Plates FSQ5344. •Reminder that you should be doing your reports out in the field and with few exceptions not coming to the station to do them. •When call volume permits make citizen contacts (on foot) at businesses and residential areas. The citizens in YOUR area should know you by name. When you talk to them you should be sharing information about the crime occurring around them so they can be on the lookout of suspicious activity and possibly help prevent some of the thefts or burglaries from occurring. We can’t be everywhere all the time but we can get additional eyes on the street by getting citizens involved. Use them as an asset to assist you! •Also, reminder that last week there were two catalytic converter thefts, although there were none this week that is a crime that •comes in waves and we are due again. Keep an eye out for business with fleets. •Night time patrol (B & C shift) need to increase traffic contacts. I realize staffing and call volume may be a factor in your low •numbers but use every opportunity to turn on your overheads (traffic contact or delta stop) in the hot spots we identified in the District meeting. Keep up the proactive activity and CONTACTS, CONTACTS, CONTACTS! Case #13-88668 1209 W. Washington Theft (Cell Phone) Case #13-88605 1401 Sunset Dr Theft (2 Bikes) Case #13-87910 1500 W.
