Summary - Hospital located on premium location and having good name in given area from
last 15-16 years. Most of the time emergency patient moving from rural areas and who are
unable to get bed in SGPGI are moving nearby private hospital. Earlier due to monopoly in
given area Rajdhani hospital were getting 6-7 daily IPD patient after denial from SGPGI but
now days they are facing tuff challenge from big player like Apollo and Medanta. As
Rajdhani hospital is having old setup so they are unable to attract these patients now a
days.
Hospital required heavy upgradation and infrastructure to attract this type of patient and as
described in 1st para hospital already invested heavily in expansion and new building is
ready and space allocation is also done but new equipment and machinery installation work
is pending and even equipment not purchased.
3. In old setup, Consultation rooms are not available and most of the panel consultation are
visiting in odd hours as per hospital’s requirement.
In new building, they are planning for CT, MRI, OPD rooms, updated ICU and Beds,
Emergency wing, Staff and Patient parking, Blood bank, Cath Lab, canteen and PET Scan
(Not yet Decided)
Future Scope - As per above description, future scope for Radiation (Lenear Accelerator),
Transplant (Kidney, Liver Cornea etc.), Big surgeries (Cardiac, Ortho, Neuro etc.) is available
as they don’t have Full time Specialist and Super Specialist so Superspecialist regular
(Weekly, Monthly) can be planned.
