Untapped Datasources: Potential Game changers

Five Senses
• Collectors are these sensors
• Storage of memory is dynamic
• Human Intellect is analytics engine it also takes into
account previous analysis done by itself. (Main diff)
• Automation in the body doesn’t require analytics
-Heart beat, breathing, sensory systems which we forgot to train
ourselves ( sixth sense kind of stuff)
Why are we stuck at only two senses
• Humans understand the environment using their sensory organs. All living beings
communicate with each other using various methods using the data received by
these sensory organs or Systems.
As far as we know, there are 5 sensory organs. Let’s keep aside the sixth sense for
time being. 
• 1) Sight 2) Smell 3) Taste 4) Touch 5) Hearing
• If we notice, current data world is primarily using only Sight and hearing data. Even
we have taught machines to provide us data, converted into only these two
methods.
• We have not made or trained our machines to sense the data of smell, taste and
give us inputs on the same format. But we rather made machines which can only
give us information in those two forms. Some machines can feel the touch (latest
Robots) but they still convert that format into light and sound formats and provide
us the information.
We can easily question “what’s wrong in getting info only n these two
formats.
Let’s delve more into it here as it is time already.
Dimensions of Word
• “Written Word” as we ‘see’ it is a symbolic representation of a
thought process, or a collection of events that happened. And this
representation is different from one place to another. It later came
to be known as “Language”. One may wonder on how people
communicated to each other before there is anything called
language, either written or sign (both uses seeing).
• Communication happens through touch, sounds & signs (writing or
facial expressions/body language seen by receiving party)
• So an expression of thought or an event is a combined result of
many processes. When we try to put it into one form , for example,
into a Written word, it loses several dimensions of the event that is
supposed to be expressed by the intending party.
Security Angle- Encryption-Storage
• The concept is based on what I mentioned above.
Word when written is capable of providing different
expression than the intended one.
• This danger is well notice long back, (almost 10000
years & beyond) in India and I was surprised when I
first heard the term “apaurusheyam”, not spoken by
human. Keeping aside the mythical and other aspects
of this concept, and looking at it in a purely scientific
angle, it really represents a method of information
passage above and beyond human sensory organs and
tools!!! So it cannot be corrupted by any living being!!!
What a secured way of storing information/data!!
Relevance ?
• Now coming back to our sensory organs
limitations and the data that we need to
handle, and on how to leverage the untapped
data sources for our current advantage, let’s
look into these methods
Failure of 5th
Generation
• When Bill Gates commented that the 5th
generation computing has
failed, its indeed a strong message to computing world that there is
more to be done in a different direction than which we came all the
way into bytes and binary gates!!!
• What he was talking about is that the computers could not be
trained/made to get or provide the data from the other two
sensory systems. Taste & Smell
• I propose that information that we are getting both, so-called
structured, unstructured, from machines and humans, is
incomplete and there is a deluge of information lying there which
when connected gives a totally different picture about the things
we perceive.
• For example, if we can decipher the way animals communicate, the
way sea creatures communicate, we could have easily located the
missing Malaysia plane with in few hours.
Forgotten or untouched data sources
• Though it looks little imaginative, but the whole search operation for Seethamma
by Lord Rama is majorly carried out by animals( monkeys and bears) and
birds( jataayu) without which it could have taken years for Rama to locate
seethamma !!! Why are we missing this simple point in developing our systems?
• There are major sources of information right in front of our eyes in the form of
trees. They must have seen at least a hundreds and thousands of years of life
around us. Some of the trees in Hampi or Delhi are as old as 1000 years. Though
we call their conscious level is different than that of humans, is there any proof
that it is actually so? Sir Hargobind Khorana proved scientifically that plants and
trees does have feelings and reactions.to various situations. They contracted when
a gardener who cuts them every day goes near to them and were feeling happy
and expanded when a lady who daily waters them and nurtures them lovingly had
approaches them. It is proved by different methods by the named scientist!!! So
their conscious levels are equal to humans!!!
• What if we can get the information from those sources!!! ??? Do we have
systems? Do we have enough algorithms to decipher their data?
Failure of Digital computing
• After dealing with various data warehousing and data
systems for more than 20 years, I could see that we have
reached the obvious expected serious limitation.
• The digital computing limitation !!! Its not only the
computing power that limits it’s also the size of the data to
be processed going forward given the entry of various data
sources like I mentioned above!! There is a serious
discussion going on about this digital computing limitations
• In this context I would like to bring back the age old
analogue computing which might help us understand the
world the way other living beings understands the world
Quantum Computing
• The obvious failure of digital computing, leading the
way to quantum computing But here I would like to
stop for a moment and ponder over a minute and look
into the ancient technologies that were in vogue in
ancient India , where the ancient maharishis could
decipher the language of nature and could manage
massive loads of information so accurately that even
modern day computers are not able to compete or
comprehend , like the value of Pi, the constellations,
various geographic representations, the purification of
environment plagued by various poisonous
gasses/bacteria by using yagnas etc !!!
Encryption –Ancient technology
• Encryption is a feature of ancient literature. Ancient India placed a lot of
emphasis on knowledge reaching only those who could be trusted with
the knowledge and not all. Ideas are often conveyed covertly and not
overtly in ancient texts. The language and the literary style had more than
enough capability to achieve this end.
• There are some works, for example, the Sri-vidya literature, which are
commonly understood as encrypted. Bhaskararaya (1690 - 1785) defying
accepted practices of his time wrote a commentary on Lalita-
sahastranama, unlocking some of its hidden thoughts.
• Encrypted Science in Rig-veda
• How far back does this practice of encryption go? At least one-man - Dr.
Subhash Kak, a scientist, historian and Indologist felt strongly that there is
encrypted truth in the oldest of all literary works - the Rig-Veda, backed
his instincts and dwelt on the issue. His work has unveiled the knowledge
of astronomy of the Vedic civilization that lay hidden in the Samhita part
of the Rig-Veda

Oregon phenomenon

Smell and Taste
• Both Smell and taste happens thru the small
particles carry from sender( smelling Object) to
receivers(sensors in nose)
• This means when we are smelling we are actually
having some part of the smelling object inside
our noses 
• Nose contains sensors which takes the signals
into vertebra from there, to Brain for processing
• Taste also carried over by Taste Buds in the
mouth and reaches brain for processing
