Two sisters, Sarah and Gemma, are going through their recently deceased mother's belongings when Sarah thinks she hears a noise downstairs. Gemma investigates but is attacked by an intruder with a knife. Gemma fights off the intruder to allow Sarah time to call for help, but is fatally stabbed in the process. Sarah manages to call 911 but the intruder attacks her as well. Gemma makes a final push to save Sarah, but is killed in the process. Sarah then stabs and kills the intruder just as police arrive.

INT. UPSTAIRS. NIGHT.
Sarah, the youngest of two siblings, is sitting in her old
room in her mothers house, looking at old family photos of
her, her older sister Gemma,and her mother, reminiscing on
times before she left her mothers. Gemma, the oldest sibling,
is searching through her mothers belongings in the other room
trying to find any legal documents for the funeral
arrangements and any valuables.
INT. SARAH'S ROOM. NIGHT.
GEMMA KNOCKS ON SARAH'S DOOR
SARAH
come in...
GEMMA ENTERS SLOWLY
GEMMA
do you remember where mam kept her
rings and all her earrings?
SARAH
did you check the spare room drawer?
GEMMA
it's literally empty, surely she
would've left something for us but its
nothing but old clothes and photos
SARAH
remember that ring we both saved up
all of our pocket money for that one
year for her birthday?
GEMMA
yeah, i can't find it anywhere, i
asked the paramedics who found her if
there was anything on her and they
said nothing.
SARAH
well do you think she sold it?
GEMMA
I hope not but I've searched
everywhere,and she wore it everywhere
with her, so she couldn't have lost it

i'll just try and find it tomorrow
it'll come up somewhere, we have a
meeting at the funeral directors
tomorrow morning, so we have to be up
early
SARAH
okay goodnight
GEMMA

INT. NIGHT. GEMMAS BEDROOM
later on in the night Gemma still awake in her room with the
light from her TV illuminating the room and someone has
entered the house and meanwhile a mysterious figure from
outside is lick pocking the back door, the noise startles
sarah and she goes to gemma for help.
SARAH
gemma! there's somebody in the house-
GEMMA
what?!?
SARAH
i just heard the backdoor open what
should we do.
GEMMA
i don't believe you, you're joking
right
SARAH
No why would i joke about something
like that
GEMMA
*sighs* ill have a look.
SARAH
are you stupid? what if its someone,
could be a rapist, a thie-
GEMMA
stop overreacting, it's probably just
the wind or something

INT. NIGHT. DOWNSTAIRS
gemma slowly makes her way through the passage way into the
sitting room to inspect the door, she walks into the sitting
room to see the backdoor is closed and locked, she gives a
sigh of relief and inspects the other rooms downstairs to
make sure, she slowly inches her way to the downstairs
bathroom. the door closes she slowly reaches for the handle
and twists the handle slowly and in a swift yank opens the
door to reveal nothing there.
she makes her way into the kitchen and finds the same result
to her relief, she opens the fridge to get a bottle of water
and then behind her is the killer, as she turns around he
goes to strike her with a knife, she dodges his attack and
darts to the stairs, the killer swiftly follows and grabs her
foot she manages to escape his grasp and runs to her room
with sarah.
SARAH
what's going on?
GEMMA
(out of breathe) murderer - the house
- you need to *breath of air* phone
the police
SARAH
I can't, i left it downstairs on
charge
gemme props herself up against the door to withhold the
killer from trying to open the door, the killer pushing
against the door with brute force, the pushes become slower
gradually but intensify with power
GEMMA
we need to find a way to get to that
phone
SARAH
theres no time we both can't get to it
without him getting to us
GEMMA
right how about I fend him off and you
quickly run to the phone?
SARAH
no what if he gets you

that doesn't matter as long as you're

SARAH
no! That can't hap-
GEMMA
i can't hold the door any longer we
need to act fast, are you ready?
SARAH
right
Sarah prepares to run out the door as gemma loosens her
strength on the door
SARAH
3... 2.... 1.. go!
the door loosens and the killer falls upon to gemma and the
grapple on the floor as Sarah makes a run for it, he sees
sarah running and in a moment of inadvertence gemma manages
to wrestle and stagger the killer gaining more time for sarah
to get to the phone, gemma follows her downstairs but the
killer more enraged catches up to gemma and stabs her in the
shoulder, severely handicapping her, the killer then runs
after sarah and as she is ringing the police, then slaps out
the phone out of her hand, as he then tries to stab Sarah, in
a moment of suspense, gemma pushes the killer swaying the
killer he turns around and thrusts the knife into gemmas
heart killing her. Sarah horrified reaches for a knife in the
kitchen draw and stabs the killer in the kidney killing him.
Sarah collapses on her knees in terror and as police sirens
heard in the background, a frown breaks finally breaks onto
her face as she look at the gruesome scene upon her
