The group of eight enter an old, dilapidated mansion at the
edge of town. Thunder rumbles, rain patters against the
windows, and a chill fills the air.
SAM
(eyeing the house warily)
I can’t believe we are doing this. This place is a death
trap.
JACK
(chuckling) come on, its just an old house. Maybe there’s
some ghosts hiding in the attic, ready to give us a tour.
VICKY
(quietly) there’s something wrong with this place. I can feel
it.
TESSA
(exited) guys, this house is legendary! It was built in the
1800s, abandoned after the deaths of the family. Some say its
cursed.
DAVID
Yeah, and some say its full of rats. Let’s get the lights on
and figure out why we’re here before the storm knocks out the
power.

JACK
(laughing) they can’t be true, that’s why they are just

DARK BROKEN WOODEN ROOM IN THE BUILDING COVERED WITH SPIDER
WEBS AND BROKEN MIRROS.

They move deeper into the house, their footsteps echoing on
the creaky floorboards. The air grows colder, and the group
starts to feel uneasy.
JACK
(faking bravado) Alright, alright. Who’s going first? we all
got flashlights right? I’m not going first, but I’ll happily
go second.

They approach the door, which opens slightly by itself as if
inviting them in. it’s a small, dusty bedroom. As they enter,
the room feels colder, almost as if the temperature dropped
ten degrees.
VICKY
(breathing shakily) I don’t like this. I can hear whispers,
like someone’s talking to us or about us.

(grinning nervously) sure, I think it's probably just the
wind.
Suddenly, through the house.
A LOUD BANG ECHOES EVERYONE
and the behind them.
JUMPS, DOOR SLAMS SHUT
SAM
(voice rising) okay, I’m done. Let’s go!

(tight-lipped, protective)
No one's going anywhere until we figure out what the hell it
was.
They try to open the door, but it wont budge. The house feels
alive now-like it’s watching them.
RACHEL

guys, I think we need to leave. Something is happening here,
and we are not equipped to deal with it.

The walls creak. The temperature drops further. A MIRROR ON

We need to find another way out as soon as possible because
we will end up being trapped for good if we keep on
panicking.

A COLD ROOM COVERED UP WITH MOLD
Suddenly, the lights blinks. The floorboards creak louder. A
shadow moves at the edge of their vision. In the far corner,
a dark figure steps forward-its face hidden by the hood, its
eyes glowing faintly.
RACHEL
who is there?
(Squinting)
The figure tilts its head, then vanish into thin air.
MARK
No, no, no... this is bad. This is really bad.
(whispering)
TESSA
I told you… I told you this house was cursed!
(crying softly)

That’s enough. Whatever this is, we can’t keep running from
it. We need to fight back.
JACK

Suddenly the temperature plummets, and their breath become
visible in the air. Shadows stretch across the room as a
figure reappears. Its eyes now fully glowing.
