Shaun Gurmin
Shaun Gurmin was employed as a member of the Quality Management Division of the University of Wolverhampton
from July 2010 - July 2011. He was employed as a quality assurance assistant and worked as a member of the quality
management team responsible for oversight of academic quality processes and procedures at the University of
Wolverhampton.
During the year Shaun undertook several projects which he managed effectively, demonstrating good project
management skills. He also developed a range of office administration and management skills including general
office skills, committee management and minuting. His role has also involved making presentations to staff and
other stakeholders and he has demonstrated that he is able to plan and make a presentation that is effective and
tailored to his audience. He has good communication skills in both written and spoken modes.
Shaun is a self-motivated individualwho works wellon his own or in a team. He has worked wellwith colleagues
and has a friendly and approachable personality.
His time-keeping is excellent and he is able to complete work on time and in many instances in advance of deadlines.
During his time in the division Shaun has received a number of awards, external and internal, for his entrepreneurial
approach.
