business strategy, work process and
collection of software applications that
facilitates different organizations to work
together on the development of a product.
 It is also known as collaborative product
definition management (cPDM).
 Data transfer or transfer is any information
that is transferred from one location to
another through some communication
method
 Data transfer refers to the collection,
replication, and transmission of large
datasets from one organization or business
unit to another.
 Information sharing describes the exchange
of data between various organizations,
people and technologies. There are several
types of information sharing:
 Information shared by individuals (such as a
video shared on Facebook or YouTube)
 Information shared by organizations (such as
the RSS feed of an online weather report)
 Information shared between software (such as
the IP addresses of available network nodes
or the availability of disk space)
 Workgroup computing refers to any computer
system that replicates the manual work
process.
 Anytime two or more people work together
