going on.
Medium closeup
This a medium close-up which
is often used when the screen
needs to be covered with
standard coverage that doesn’t
shock the viewer.
Medium shot
A medium shot is from the
waist up and is meant to
capture the character and the
background to show their
emotion and what they are
doing better like this medium
shot of the joker.
Medium long shot
This is a medium long shot and
shows most of the legs and the
resto the body it shows
emotion through stance and
their face. A medium longshot
is shot and framed from the
knees up.
Long shot
A long shot is usually used to
show the scene and the
characters place within it for
example there is this scene in
pirates of the Caribbean which
shows captain jack sparrow
getting chased.
Very long shot
This is a very long shot is a
view of a scene from a
considerable distance
where people appear as
indistinct shapes .
Two shot
A two shot is a shot that
frames the subjects the
subjects don’t have to be next
to each other and is used to
show the emotional reaction
of the subjects .
Over the shoulder shot
This is an over shoulder shot is
where it shows the shoulder
and upwards of one subject
facing another subject which
shows the subjects reaction to
whatever is happening in the
scene.
Interviewer looks into space shot
The interviewer looks into space shot is
showing the subjects reaction to
something in the scene by capturing
their facial expression.
Moving subject shot
The moving subject shot shows
the subject moving to space
this is shown to show emotion
or something that the
character is doing while
showing background and the
subject on one side of the
frame going to the other.
High angle shot
A high angle shot is a
shot from above that is
usually used to show the
subjects looking up at
something and capturing
the body language and
facial expression.
Low angle shot
A low angle shot is where is a
shot where the camera is
looking up and the subject is
looking down and captures the
reaction of whatever they are
looking at that is below them.
Tilted frame
A tilted frame involves the
camera being set on an angle
on its roll axis so that the shot
is composed with vertical lines
or so that the horizon line is
not parrel.
