Editor's Notes

  • #4 With the start of MySpace the early 2000’s, social media has since taken flight with the addition of Facebook, Linked In, Twitter, Instagram, and many more. The objective of social media is to expand communication amongst people. Although it’s common for social media to be a more casual aspect, many business can benefit from this new up rise.
  • #5 Social media is very helpful for corporations, and can even help to expand a company’s audience. According to the Journal of Marketing, “By 2011, approximately 83% of Fortune 500 companies were using some form of social media to connect with consumers. Furthermore, surveys suggest that consumers are increasingly relying on social media to learn about unfamiliar brands.” Using social media to communicate with your current customers is also a great way of showing potential customers your connections to your clients.
