This document provides an outline for a lesson on conjectures, proofs, and inductive and deductive reasoning. The learning outcome is for students to gain proficiency in recognizing a proficient proof, writing an if-then statement, and reasoning inductively and deductively. The warmup activity asks students to analyze how two examples are similar or different and if a conclusion can be drawn. Definitions of inductive and deductive reasoning are also provided. The success criteria lists the skills students should be able to demonstrate.
