This is best used for storing loose
components and secondary item in
form of cartons, which can be handled
manually. In other words, the
components lifted by a man easily and
weighing up to 20kg can be stored in
this type of racking system.
To install two tier racking the ceiling or
clear height of the building should be
min. 15 feet. Here maximum volume

A mezzanine is a raised platform that is independent of a building structure and is
supported by steel columns.
Mezzanine flooring can create additional floors of space for a variety of different uses
such including storage or extra office space. Mezzanine floors are a very quick and
cost effective way to create new space without the expense and inconvenience of
Relocation. A steel structural mezzanine floor utilizes the overhead space in your
existing premises with the minimum of disruption and in most cases without the need

30. GRAVITY FLOW RACKS
Pallet Flow Racking is another form of dense storage system to utilize maximum
‘Storage Cube’.
Pallets flow from one end to another end by gravity force on metal rollers. Hence by
default, this system operates on FIFO (First In First Out). This system is designed to
store pallets of multiple high and multiple deep. This racking is suitable for batch
production / storing homogeneous products . This racking has pallet loading on one
end and unloading on the other end.
