EVOLVING TRENDS FOR ENHANCING THE ACCURACY OF FAULT LOCATION IN POWER DISTRIB...paperpublications3
Abstract: Fault location has been the subject of considerable interest to electric power utility engineers and
researchers for many years. Quantum of research done has been more on locating faults on transmission lines.
This is more justified, for the impact of transmission line faults on the power systems is greater, than that of
distribution lines. However, fault location on distribution lines is gaining attention in many utilities, especially
operating in deregulated power markets attempting to increase availability of power supply to the customers. So,
there is a need for more accurate and efficient methods for fault location, which lead to high-quality of customer
service and reduced overall cost. Fast and accurate identification of the faulted section in distribution networks
leads to least inconvenience to the connected customers. The research work on this issue has an interesting
emergence over the years. It would not be an exaggeration, if one states that still to this day there is a greater scope
for improving the accuracy. This paper reviews the work and presents a comprehensive content demonstrating the
evolution of various tools and techniques, which are ruling the research domain of fault location over a timestretch
of 10 years to this day.
Keywords: Power distribution networks, fault location, artificial intelligence, fuzzy logic, genetic algorithm,
impedance-based algorithm.

Propagation Path Loss Modeling and Outdoor Coverage Measurements Review in Mi...IJECEIAES
The global bandwidth inadequacy facing wireless carriers has motivated the exploration of the underutilized millimeter wave (mm-wave) frequency spectrum for future broadband cellular communication networks, and mmWave band is one of the promising candidates due to wide spectrum. This paper presents propagation path loss and outdoor coverage and link budget measurements for frequencies above 6 GHz (mm-wave bands) using directional horn antennas at the transmitter and omnidirectional antennas at the receiver. This work presents measurements showing the propagation time delay spread and path loss as a function of separation distance for different frequencies and antenna pointing angles for many types of real-world environments. The data presented here show that at 28 GHz, 38 GHz and 60 GHz, unobstructed Line of Site (LOS) channels obey free space propagation path loss while non-LOS (NLOS) channels have large multipath delay spreads and can utilize many different pointing angles to provide propagation links. At 60 GHz, there is more path loss and smaller delay spreads. Power delay profiles PDPs were measured at every individual pointing angle for each TX and RX location, and integrating each of the PDPs to obtain received power as a function of pointing angle. The result shows that the mean RMS delay spread varies between 7.2 ns and 74.4 ns for 60 GHz and 28 GHz respectively in NLOS scenario.
Human body blockage effect on wireless network performance for outdoor coverageIJECEIAES
The rapid development in the field of communications and growing numbers of the population every year stimulate telecommunications companies to develop communications systems to accommodate all users. In this paper, we will study the blockage effect of the student body on the propagation of the signals in the external wireless network. We took various numbers of the student density on the campus to know the extent it affects especially in crowded environments. The student body structure and buildings are designed in the college according to the real dimensions by Wireless InSite software. We compared scenarios for the different numbers of student density, we noticed that whenever an increase in the student density in the college will lead to increased path loss and delay spread time. In addition, note there is a gradual decrease in the received power (RP) if there is no student density highest RP is -28.2 dBm, when there are 300 students highest RP is -34.7 dBm, and when there are 600 students highest RP is -36.5 dBm. The reasons are that signals path spread inside the college will be passing through several collisions whether student body blockage or buildings that are built from different materials.
5G wireless network technology is going operate within the environment of other electrical, electronic and electromagnetic devices, components and systems, with capability of high speed data connectivity acting as network transceiver stations with Massive MIMO for Internet of Things (IoT). Considering the level of interoperability, electromagnetic Interference and electromagnetic compatibility to avoid electromagnetic pulse effects (EMP) which is capable of not only causing network malfunctions but total devices and equipments failure in mission critical operations, like hospital MRI scan machines, security profiling and data handling or even personal healthcare devices like heart pacemaker. Electromagnetic energy coupling in PCB due to: radiation, reflection and Crosstalk generates reliability challenges affecting Signal Integrity between traces of multilayer boards stalks, power bus and packaging creating Electromagnetic interference (EMI) in PCB leading false clock response to system failure. Above were considered very essential when deploying 5G wireless network facility as presented in this paper.

Modeling, Analysis, and Design of Multi-tier and Cognitive Cellular Wireless ...indonesiabelajar
Abstract: Multi-tier architecture with small cells such as femtocells, picocells, macrocells, and metrocells, overlaid with traditional macrocells is considered as a promising option to improve the network coverage and capacity of the next generation cellular wireless networks. Also, in such multi-tier networks, cognitive radio concepts will likely to be used by these small cells to improve the radio spectrum utilization. In this context, modeling, analysis, and design of multi-tier and cognitive cellular networks is increasingly attracting the attention of the research community. Recently, stochastic geometry models have been shown to provide tractable yet accurate performance bounds for multi-tier and cognitive cellular wireless networks. Given the need for interference characterization in multi-tier cellular networks, stochastic geometry models provide high potential to simplify their modeling and provide insights into their design. In this seminar, I will present a review of the stochastic geometry models for single-tier as well as multi-tier and cognitive cellular wireless networks. I will also present a taxonomy based on the target network model, the point process used, and the performance evaluation technique. To this end, I will discuss the open research challenges and future research directions.

Magnetic resonance coupling for 5G WPT applicationsjournalBEEI
Inductive Wireless Power Transfer (IWPT) is the most popular and common technology for the resonance coupling power transfer. However, in 2007 it has experimentally demonstrated by a research group from Massachusets Institute of Technology (MIT) that WPT can be improved by using Magnetic Resonance Coupling Wireless Power Transfer (MRC WPT) in terms of the coupling distance and efficiency. Furthermore, by exploiting the unused, high-frequency mm-wave band which are ranging from 3~300 GHz frequency band, the next 5G generations of wireless networks will be able to support a higher number of devices with the increasing data rate, higher energy efficiency and also compatible with the previous technology. In this work, a square planar inductor with the dimension of 6.1 x 6.1 mm is designed, and the resonators have the same self-resonance frequency at 14 GHz. The coil resonators have been laid on Silicon and Oxide substrate to reduce the loss in the design. From the CST software simulation and the analytical model in MATLAB software, it has been shown that the MRC WPT design has improved the performance of IWPT design by 40% power transfer efficiency. MRC WPT design also has larger H-Field value which is 705.5 A/m, as compared to the IWPT design which has only 285.6 A/m when both Transmitter(Tx) and Reciever(RX) is at 0.3 mm coupling distance.
Today we live in a fast changing world. In present modern era power is very important role in our live system. The purpose of this paper practically implement concept of power transmission without wire. Wireless Power Transmission through inductive coupling is one of the new emerging technologies that will bring tremendous change in human life. Wireless power transfer is one of the simplest and inexpensive ways of charging as it eliminate the use of conventional copper cables and current carrying wires. Using inductive coupling concept an alternating current in transmitter coil generates a magnetic field which induces a voltage in the receiver coil. This voltage can be used to power a mobile device or charge a battery etc. Mrs. Jothy Mary Saji "Review Paper on Wireless Power Transfer" Published in International Journal of Trend in Scientific Research and Development (ijtsrd), ISSN: 2456-6470, Volume-7 | Issue-4, August 2023, URL: https://www.ijtsrd.com/papers/ijtsrd58616.pdf Paper Url:https://www.ijtsrd.com/engineering/electronics-and-communication-engineering/58616/review-paper-on-wireless-power-transfer/mrs-jothy-mary-saji

expected to become a reality within the next ten years. In this context, Electromagnetic Terahertz communication is
envisioned as a key wireless technology of the next decade. The THz band will help overcome the spectrum scarcity
problems and capacity limitations of current wireless networks, by providing an unprecedentedly large bandwidth. In
addition, THz-band communication will enable applications such as wireless massive-core computing architectures and
instantaneous data transfer among non-invasive nano-devices, as well as ultra-high-definition content streaming
among mobile devices and wireless high-bandwidth secure communications. In this talk an in-depth view of THz-band
communications will be provided. First, the state of the art and open challenges in the design and development of THz-
band devices will be presented. In particular, the limitations and possible solutions in the design of high-speed THz-
band transceivers, broadband antennas and dynamic antenna arrays will be described. A special emphasis will be given
to the utilization of novel materials, such as grapheme, to develop compact solid-state devices for THz
communications. Then, the current progress and open research directions in terms of THz-band channel modeling will
be presented. Finally, the main phenomena affecting the propagation of THz signals will be explained and their impact
on the channel capacity will be assessed.
