Types of paragraphs include chronological paragraphs that describe a series of events in order, descriptive paragraphs that portray animals, people, things or events following logical criteria, explanatory paragraphs that provide more detailed information on a topic, and expository paragraphs that explain or clarify problems based on evidence to inform people. Argumentative paragraphs aim to persuade through reasons, facts or opinions on something affirmative or negative, while narrative paragraphs recount past stories or events to contextualize readers and comparative paragraphs show differences or similarities between two or more objects, opinions, or events.
