This document defines 17 types of acceleration:
1. Early admission to kindergarten or first grade, allowing students to enter before the minimum age.
2. Early admission to first grade by skipping kindergarten or accelerating from it.
3. Grade-skipping, placing a student in a grade level ahead of their peers.
4. Various methods like continuous progress, self-paced instruction, and subject-matter acceleration that allow students to progress through material at an individualized faster pace.
