This document provides definitions and conceptual ideas about emotional intimacy and common relationship assumptions such as friend zoning, flirtationships, and entanglements. It then discusses different types of love affairs and relationship models involving passion, intimacy, and commitment. The document also covers emotional intelligence strategies, potential relationship games and gimmicks, timelines for relationships to progress, and ways to build trust and enjoy the bliss of a relationship.
The document discusses Buddhist teachings on cultivating compassion and kindness. It advises focusing on the present moment rather than dwelling on the past or future. It also recommends showing humility, generosity and forgiveness in interactions with others in order to create harmony. Happiness increases through sharing it with others, while problems are best solved through love and understanding rather than force or conflict.
The document describes Gandhi's early life experiences that shaped his character. As a young boy, Gandhi engaged in bad behavior but felt deep remorse. He wrote a confession letter to his bedridden father, trembling as he handed it to him. His father forgave him with tears of love in his eyes, washing away Gandhi's sins and teaching him an early lesson about nonviolence through his peaceful, compassionate response. This experience of sublime forgiveness from his father had a profound impact on Gandhi.
The first kiss with a romantic partner represents a treasured moment of love that should be cherished as a gift. True love is based on understanding, mutual trust, respect, and balance between partners rather than transient emotions. Seeing relationships as based on being trustees of love for one another sets people free from grasping or guarding the other person and encourages treating them with dignity. Real love is a continual flowing force like a river rather than a closed relationship like a pond, and the feeling of love can continue even after particular relationships end.
Love is a mysterious phenomenon that everyone experiences differently based on what they put into it. Those who experience pure, deep, enduring love without reservations will receive equivalent love, while those with fears or resistances will receive mixed love of the same quality. Intimacy is a secret that reflects the love one experienced growing up - a child given love and harmony will receive the same. Real love cannot be escaped from, but mixed love should grow until it fills the soul. True deep love persists even after death or loss of contact, while feelings that were not deep enough may disappear over time. Choosing to act with love allows loving feelings to follow.
CultureTalk: 12 Dynamic Archetypes for BusinessChristine Kopec
The document describes 12 archetypes or core stories that shape people's perspectives and assumptions. It summarizes the gifts and shadow sides of each archetype, and pairs them based on how they balance each other. This document discusses the true nature of love. It states that love is not always fun, exciting, or romantic, but involves choosing to care for someone even during difficult times. Real love requires making daily choices to care about others more than yourself through both selflessness and sacrifice. While not natural or easy, learning to love fully through vulnerability is what gives life richness and meaning. The purpose of life is to love and be loved in return.

What Every Translator Should Know About Software Localizationallinportuguese
The document discusses localization (L10N) which is the process of adapting products or services for a particular cultural or linguistic market through translation and cultural adaptation. It involves translating text, software, websites and adjusting visual elements and examples to be culturally appropriate. Quality assurance and testing are important parts of localization and involve verifying the localized product works as intended on the target operating systems and accounts for locale-specific issues. Localization projects may involve on-site testing to simulate the end user's in-country experience.
Mixing Computer-Assisted Translation and Machine Translationallinportuguese
Curious to learn more about how much a translator could really benefit from this daunting combination, Cris Silva and Giovana Boselli conducted an experiment in which we combined machine translation and translation memory. This slide discusses our process and statistics in an attempt to provide translation and localization professionals with some empirical information on the combined use of machine translation and computer-assisted translation.
gift of imperfection (facts, points to remember, guide)PrashantGunjal8
The document discusses themes of shame, courage, compassion, connection, and authenticity. It provides quotes and tips related to loving oneself, sharing one's story with others, practicing self-compassion, and living authentically. The overall message is that owning our stories, even the imperfect parts, and loving ourselves fully is the bravest thing we can do, and allows us to experience true belonging and connection with others.

This document discusses the nature and causes of anger. It states that anger can make people feel more alive and important by asserting their rights and opinions. However, healthy anger is rare - most people's anger lingers inappropriately, damages relationships, and makes life unpleasant. The root cause of anger is an unmet need for love, respect, attention and caring. While behavioral techniques may help control anger, they do not address its underlying source - the gap between what people want out of life and what they actually experience. The document argues that the way to overcome anger is to accept reality as it is rather than trying to change it or punish the world with anger when it does not give people what they want.
This document discusses attachment issues in relationships and how to fix them. It begins by describing the four main attachment styles: avoidant, anxious, fearful, and secure. It then provides solutions for each style. The avoidant style can be addressed by openly expressing care and emotions to trusted individuals. The anxious style can disconnect identity from relationships by pursuing independent hobbies and interests. Fearful attachment requires professional help. Maintaining a secure attachment involves focusing on reliability, understanding, and honesty in relationships rather than emotional connections. Finally, it suggests the best way to rid attachment is by not considering other people or things as "mine" and instead focusing on independence and self-care.
This document discusses the motivating forces of fear and love. It notes that fear causes us to pull back from life while love allows us to open up to what life has to offer. Several attributes of love and fear are listed, showing how love is associated with positivity while fear relates to negativity. It encourages embracing love over fear to live a happier, more beautiful life. Moving away from fear and toward love even a little can significantly increase happiness.

This document discusses toddlers' need for autonomy, control, and predictability in their lives to develop self-esteem and feel respected as human beings. It notes that when a toddler's basic needs and expectations are not met, it can lead to frustration, aggression, and a lack of self-respect. The document provides guidelines for caregivers to support toddlers' autonomy through choices, limits, routines, and allowing them to do things for themselves to develop a sense of control over their environment.
Acts of love - Social Workers are my Hero's.Jenny Molloy
The author reflects on their experience in foster care as a child and how their social workers showed them love and compassion. The social workers cuddled the author and made them feel cared for when they disclosed private secrets, which helped the author to seek help as an adult. The author credits their social workers for teaching them positive qualities like empathy and kindness that they were able to pass on to their own children. However, the system is underfunded and social workers are criticized, which prevents children from feeling loved and supported. The author argues that children need to experience love from social workers to learn how to love and feel worthy.
The document discusses the three parts of the coping brain - the thinking brain, reptilian brain, and emotional brain - and how each contributes to coping mechanisms. It then examines common coping challenges like loss, rejection, betrayal, and humiliation and provides strategies for managing stress and anger, including using the thinking brain, developing healthy coping skills, asking for help, and taking responsibility for one's own feelings. The document advocates educating oneself on coping skills and learning from others' examples of effective coping.
The villain gives the story conflict for the heroes to overcome. Understanding the villain's perspective and motivations is key to creating a compelling antagonist. Fear of losing control, love, attention, wealth or life can motivate villains. They may seek to gain control over themselves, situations, others or love to compensate for these fears. Deeper exploration of the villain's gender, race, skills, family, friends and views can reveal their psychology and why they oppose the protagonist. An effective villain is more than just evil - they have depth of character from past experiences of love, fear, hate, passion and loss.
This document discusses using nanotechnology for pest control, specifically using silica nanoparticles as a potential new insecticide for controlling the cotton leaf worm, Spodoptera littoralis. It notes that this would represent the first use of nanotechnology in agriculture. The authors are from Egypt and study plant protection and economic entomology. They propose testing silica nanoparticles against S. littoralis and assessing its potential as a new insecticide for cotton pest control.
The document describes the experience of recovering from an abusive relationship and the journey of healing taken by the author. She left the relationship and spent 3 months on an island in Thailand doing various therapies like acupuncture, trauma release exercises, psychotherapy, yoga and Ayahuasca ceremonies. This helped initially but she realized she needed to understand why she attracted the abusive relationship and took responsibility for what happened. She studied childhood emotional wounds and started daily self-love and boundary setting work. The document aims to help others who have experienced abusive relationships.
Jealousy stems from a fear of losing something valuable, like a relationship, and a lack of self-worth. It is often rooted in past rejection or broken trust from an early age. To overcome jealousy, one must identify the triggers, build self-confidence through positive self-talk and comparing oneself less to others, learn to trust by giving others the benefit of the doubt and addressing relationship needs openly, and help others through volunteer work to shift the focus away from oneself. With support, self-examination, willingness to change, and hard work, overcoming jealousy is possible.
Anger is a natural human emotion that arises in response to threats, attacks, injustice or disappointment. While anger can motivate people to address problems or wrongs, it becomes problematic if not dealt with in a healthy way. The document outlines how anger works physically and mentally, explaining that it prepares the body for action through increased heart rate, blood pressure and adrenaline. It also notes that anger can impair rational thinking. The document then discusses common triggers for anger, individual differences in experiencing and expressing anger, and potential problems that can arise from long-term or intense unmanaged anger, such as issues with relationships, decision-making, mental health and physical well-being.
This document discusses the importance of inner beauty over superficial qualities. It suggests that modern social media causes people to lose their true selves and make relationships more about public displays rather than personal communication. True happiness comes from within, not from emotional reactions to social media posts. The document advocates being true to oneself, developing inner beauty through life experiences, and making relationships stronger through genuine communication instead of superficial influences.
Understanding Love -- Self-Help Regarding Psychological HealingMaria772Nielson
This document discusses psychological healing and conscious loving in relationships. It states that past emotional wounds and unresolved issues get stored in our body and mind, acting as barriers to self-understanding, awareness, and spiritual growth. These wounds also contribute to relationship problems. The document recommends taking responsibility for one's role in the relationship and working towards resolving one's own psychological issues in order to free oneself from the past and have a healthy relationship.
The document discusses the concept of love and controlling love. It argues that not releasing love is a form of controlling it, and that giving love where it may face abuse is also a form of controlling love. It states that some people debunk love as they do not truly understand what it means to love themselves. The document suggests that life is about more than just the physical body, and that people should allow their soul to develop fully to its potential. It discusses how love can be expressed in unhealthy ways when it is used to express empty satisfaction or when it becomes "poisoned". Overall, the document advocates for finding love within oneself rather than blaming others or becoming obsessed with material things, and controlling love through discernment and
Mutual understanding, trust, and avoiding negative assumptions are key to keeping relationships strong. Misunderstandings often arise from outside interference or a lack of confidence in facing issues directly. True friendship between any two people is possible, as seen in the example of Khadija and the Prophet Muhammad successfully working together. To strengthen relationships, make an effort to understand others' perspectives rather than reacting angrily, and focus on each other's best qualities instead of differences. Trust, understanding feelings, and addressing issues calmly can help overcome problems.
The document discusses how to forgive through taking a forgiveness test, understanding what forgiveness is, avoiding the dangers of apologies, and using four tools for forgiveness including apologizing, writing, visualizing, and confiding. It explains that forgiveness requires understanding another's perspective rather than weakness, and that it allows one to enter future relationships without carrying grudges or fear.
Could Insecurity Be Ruining Your Marriage? Control Your ThoughtsNicola Beer
Debbie (name changed) came to me because she no longer felt like she was being herself. “I know I’m over-reacting and sometimes over-controlling Nicola, but I can’t help it.” Her fears and anxieties were leaving her to, in her words, act “desperate.” She wanted to trust her husband Gary, but couldn’t.
Five years ago, when they were engaged to be married, she found flirty Facebook messages from a girl at his work. Recently, Debbie noticed a message pop up from an old-school fling of his, asking to meet him. Debbie was furious that Gary hadn’t told her about the message, especially after their previous history.
1) Love requires self-discipline to contribute to a partner's spiritual growth. It means managing feelings and efforts productively.
2) For relationships to thrive, separateness between partners is important. Failure to see another's individuality can lead to narcissism.
3) Psychotherapy involves lovingly helping people grow by showing warmth and empathy. A successful therapy requires love from both parties.
4) While love of people who can grow spiritually is discussed, questions remain about the origins of love and what determines our experience of beauty.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375
