Google Chrome [now more popular and IMHO
better than Internet Explorer] can be installed

As usual the first computer set up by George
was configured to be in Greece [not Cyprus] and
with Greek [on a UK keyboard!] as the default
language. Although this no longer creates a
problem with SIMS the prefered settings are
probably...

8. IE Proxy Switch

9. Click Add to add
settings for school
proxy server.
You can now swith between Academy
to access the Internet at school and
None acces the Internet outside
school.

10. Skydrive
Skydrive is a service from Microsoft that gives
you 25Gb of free cloud storage synced between
all your Windows computers, Windows
Phones, iPhones, iPads and Macs.
You can also access all your files and edit all your
Office documents from almost any Internet
connected device.

11. This is way more storage than the school offers
on its file server.

12. Skydrive is already installed on your computer
but you do need to go to apps.live.com/skydrive
to register and make the Skydrive appear.
