  8. 8. Psalm 2 / God laughs at the wicked4 He who sits in the heavens shallLord shall hold them in derision. 5 laugh Then He shall speak to them in His ; thewrath deep , and distress them in Hisdispleasure: “Yet I have set My 6King [Jesus] on my holy hill ofZion.”

Psalm 2 / “Resistance is futile”7 “I [ Jesus ] will declare the decree: The LORD has said to I willMe, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You. 8 Ask of Me, andgive You the nations for Yourinheritance , and the ends of the earth for Your possession. 9 You shallbreak them with a rod of iron ; Youshall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel .’”

Psalm 2 / Warning and promise10 Now therefore, be wise , O kings; Be instructed, you judges of the earth.11 Serve the LORD with fear, And rejoice with trembling.12 Kiss the Son , lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those whoput their trust in Him .

Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant 29to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that 30signs and wonders may be done through the name of… Jesus.”31And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filledwith the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.
