The document discusses the Great Depression and World War II. It describes how the stock market crash of 1929 led to widespread unemployment and economic struggles in the United States and Germany. By 1933, both countries had over 25% unemployment. Franklin Roosevelt and Adolf Hitler rose to power in the U.S. and Germany respectively and employed different strategies to try and reform their economies, with Roosevelt enacting the New Deal and Hitler reorganizing German industries. The document then discusses the lead up to World War II, with Germany and Japan aggressively expanding territorially and the U.S. eventually entering the war after the attack on Pearl Harbor.
The document summarizes the construction of the Panama Canal and Los Angeles Aqueduct. The Panama Canal took over a decade to complete and cost hundreds of millions, but cut shipping time in half between the east and west coasts of the United States. The Los Angeles Aqueduct brought water from the Owens Valley to LA, fueling the city's growth and transforming its landscape, though it damaged the environment of the Owens Valley. Both projects required massive coordination and labor to build complex infrastructure on an immense scale.

It discusses how Western comics like Superman and Mickey Mouse were adapted to Arab audiences, and highlights several Arabic comics magazines from Egypt, Lebanon, and Syria from the 1950s-2000s that reflected social and political themes. These included Miki, Bissatal-Rih, Usamah, and Samir magazines, as well as folk hero comics like Juha. It also notes how some comics have migrated online in more recent years from countries like Egypt, UAE, Lebanon, and others.
- Only a small minority of Americans eat the recommended 5 servings of fruits and vegetables daily, and many have no fruits or vegetables in their diet. Modern food processing and agriculture deplete nutrients from foods.
- While dietary guidelines state that supplements are unnecessary for most people, many populations have inadequate nutrient status. Studies show that multivitamin supplements may reduce risks of disease.
- Isolated vitamin supplements are not as effective as nutrients from whole foods or FoodState supplements, which use proprietary technology to ensure nutrients are absorbed similarly to foods. FoodState nutrients require lower doses to achieve benefits.
This document outlines goals and measures for an environmental stewardship focus area. The goal is to directly provide services that improve energy and water efficiency, increase renewable energy and ecosystem protection, especially for low-income households and communities. Key focus areas include decreasing energy and water use, improving at-risk ecosystems, and increasing behaviors leading to reduced consumption or improved ecosystems. Priority measures center around improving public lands like parks and trails.

Le statistiche nel Turismo
Centro Studi Turistici

• consistenza dell’offerta turistica (compresa quella termale, congressuale/espositiva, ambientale)
• arrivi e presenze

Valore economico candidature UNESCO
http://www.peremiliaromagna.it
