Why is permaculture a valuable alternative to conventional "factory" farming? Upon answering this question, this presentation highlights examples of a healthy permaculture system. This was used as a 30 minute "Intro to Permaculture" class taught to college engineers.
This is the slideshow i am using now (2013) to open design courses. This part goes over a bit of my background, a bit of history and inspiration for permaculture and its development, and the state of the world. It also begins to explore how permaculture is manifested in the world which is a reflection of the 14 chapters of the Designers manual which acts as a framework for how the course is structured.
A look inot the histroy of Permaculture adn its roots. Then a look into the state of the world very briefly. Following that an examination of each of the principles laid out by Bill Mollison in the book Introduction to Permaculture. Finally ending with a few pictures that provide looks into Permaculture Management techniques reflecting these design principles.

The two mass media that I choose were social media and television reason being is that dealing with social media you have some many different sites that you can actually socialize and talk to and meet different people and find different games and things so their are alot if things that can be done with social media but like me I am 38 and I finally have a Facebook page and Instagram but the things is that I didnt know about any of them until like my 30's and my kids and younger friends had to hip me to that. With television you had different channels and things you could watch when you were a kid that you can't really watch know unless your on wifi and those were the best channels ever that your grandma made sure you watched. Compared to the things our kids watch know like they are so terrible know days that I will actually make my kids watch what I use to when I was a kid and they actually sit and watch it. So both of these to mass media influence me because what we watch and read on the media is so much different than when I was a kid

The type of mass media that has evolved the most during my lifetime has to be social media. It all started with Myspace where you could visit your friends and families page and see how they personalized their page. Facebook later came out around 4 years later where you could post statuses and pictures. It quickly became popular due to the fact that you could react to the posts and pictures. Now we have Snapchat, Tik Tok, and Instagram that takes up most of our days. I have been personally influenced by these apps because of how addicting they are. They make time go by quicker and with phones being so popular and high tech you have social media at your fingertips at all time. After years of using social media I have found that it is second nature for me to grab my phone and go to instagram first thing in the morning out of habit. Social Media has affected my friends in a positive way, but also in a negative way. Because of the popularity of social media you can now market your business and reach so many more people that you wouldnt have been able to reach. But social media also makes it harder on relationships. I have seen a lot of friends and family go through breakups due to social media.

ABSTRACT: Although a significant amount of literature exists on Morocco's migration policies and their
successes and failures since their implementation in 2014, there is limited research on the integration of subSaharan African children into schools. This paperis part of a Ph.D. research project that aims to fill this gap. It
reports the main findings of a study conducted with migrant children enrolled in two public schools in Rabat,
Morocco, exploring how integration is defined by the children themselves and identifying the obstacles that they
have encountered thus far. The following paper uses an inductive approach and primarily focuses on the
relationships of children with their teachers and peers as a key aspect of integration for students with a migration
background. The study has led to several crucial findings. It emphasizes the significance of speaking Colloquial
Moroccan Arabic (Darija) and being part of a community for effective integration. Moreover, it reveals that the
use of Modern Standard Arabic as the language of instruction in schools is a source of frustration for students,
indicating the need for language policy reform. The study underlines the importanceof considering the
children‟s agency when being integrated into mainstream public schools.

Improving Workplace Safety Performance in Malaysian SMEs: The Role of Safety ...AJHSSR Journal
ABSTRACT: In the Malaysian context, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) experience a significant
burden of workplace accidents. A consensus among scholars attributes a substantial portion of these incidents to
human factors, particularly unsafe behaviors. This study, conducted in Malaysia's northern region, specifically
targeted Safety and Health/Human Resource professionals within the manufacturing sector of SMEs. We
gathered a robust dataset comprising 107 responses through a meticulously designed self-administered
questionnaire. Employing advanced partial least squares-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) techniques
with SmartPLS 3.2.9, we rigorously analyzed the data to scrutinize the intricate relationship between safety
behavior and safety performance. The research findings unequivocally underscore the palpable and
consequential impact of safety behavior variables, namely safety compliance and safety participation, on
improving safety performance indicators such as accidents, injuries, and property damages. These results
strongly validate research hypotheses. Consequently, this study highlights the pivotal significance of cultivating
safety behavior among employees, particularly in resource-constrained SME settings, as an essential step toward
enhancing workplace safety performance.

2. Social Media Trends...Last Year
Last year almost every Truckee student had a
Facebook and checked daily. Later in the year
the same happened with Instagram, and most
forgot about facebook. At the end of the year
Snapchat and vine started to become popular.
Snapchat became the app to have very quickly
while vine is still working its way in.
3. Facebook
In 2013 Facebookwas the social
media site to use, and in 2014 it
dwindled out. Truckee High students
today only use facebook for making
other social media accounts and
games. Facebook was the start of all
the new social media.
4. Instagram
Instagram is a social media site for
pictures and videos. Instagram has
tried to stay in the loop by adding
and updating their app alot. For
example they enabled you to send
direct messages just after an update
that allowed you to upload videos.
5. Social Media Now
Facebook and Instagram have had their
spotlight, now it’s time Snapchat and Vine.
Snapchat was popular almost as soon as it came
out. It has been around for a while and is still
going strong. Currently, Twitter and Tumblr are
working their way into Truckee High. I think
Tumblr and Twitter will be in by the end of the
year.
6. Snapchat
Snapchat is an app that allows you to
send pictures and videos that disappear
after a certain amount of time. Snapchat
has managed to stay in the loop for a
long time. I expect it to continue to be in
for a while.
7. Vine
Vine is a social media app that allows
you to share short, usually funny videos
with yours friends and more. It is still
coming in, it is almost there.
8. Social Media in the Future
In the future, I expect Truckee High will be
into Twitter and Tumblr. The rest of the US is
obsessed with Twitter, Truckee is just a little
behind.
9. Tumblr
Tumblr is a social media site
where you post comments for the
public to read and like and
comment. I expect Tumblr to be the
next big thing in Truckee High’s
social media.
10. Twitter
Twitter is a social media app that
enables you to post almost anything. It
is the top social media app in the
country right now. For Truckee High,
Twitter will be the next big thing.
