Millennials now make up a large portion of the workforce and expect work experiences and individualized career development. MOVING BEYOND EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT: THE EMPLOYEE EXPERIENCE INDEXHuman Capital Media
Employee engagement is often viewed as the proxy for employee well-being. The line of thinking is that if engagement is good, that means employees are good, resulting in better business outcomes for employers. But is employee engagement the best construct that employers should use to positively impact productivity and performance?
New research suggests while engagement is important, it’s only one piece of the broader picture — the entire employee experience. In reality, people want to work for a company that allows them to bring their full selves to grow and thrive. Creating this kind of workplace goes beyond just ensuring that employees are engaged — discovering the ingredients that create the most positive employee experience, then creating the conditions to cultivate them. When companies enhance the employee experience, business benefits directly.

1) Effective leadership outcomes that measure a leader's impact on talent and business performance.
2) Effective leadership enablers that assess inherent personal attributes that indicate potential for leadership success.
3) Effective leadership capabilities that can be developed to accelerate performance, unleash talent, and dare to lead.

3. Capabilities - Coachable skills that matter most for delivering outcomes, such as developing talent and innovation.

People analytics: driving business performance with people data
2 Foreword from the CIPD
1 Foreword from the CIPD
Data and technology are at the very forefront of innovation in HR as they are in so many
parts of business today. As many organisations modernise and incorporate data and
technology into their workforce practices, we see many new opportunities emerging to
use people data to better understand who our workforce are, how they work, and what
work means to them. Insights from people data offer the opportunity to change the way
workforce decisions are made in organisations, from those driven by instinct or habit
alone to those which are evidence-based and focused on developing long-term, positive
outcomes. Even the most basic people data itself holds considerable potential value to
organisations when used correctly, as we are seeing through the recent insights from
gender pay gap reporti.

How to Build and Maintain a Premier OrganizationLucas Group
An important trend facing organizations across all industries is bridging the knowledge gap between outgoing employees and those who remain or are hired to fulfill their work. Despite a stubbornly persistent unemployment rate in the U.S., attracting and retaining people who can positively impact your company remains a considerable challenge to building and maintaining a premier organization. Triggered by Baby Boomer retirements, companies must develop systematic ways to attract the best, retain the best, and hold on to the knowledge that the best contribute to their organizations.
The document discusses how talent management is changing and the future of talent management. Key points include:
1) Organizational structures are shifting from traditional top-down hierarchies to more collaborative and flexible structures. Automated technology will play a crucial role in talent management.
2) Talent acquisition, learning, performance management, succession planning, and employee engagement are all changing. Tools are focusing more on continuous feedback, just-in-time learning, and predictive analytics.
3) With these changes, the role of managers can shift to having more meaningful conversations about employees' roles, development, and career growth. When supported by technology, this enhances employee engagement and business success.
The document discusses how the modern workplace is rapidly changing with employees demanding greater flexibility, connectivity and variety from their employers. It also discusses how HR must adapt to rising candidate expectations, new ways of working using social media, and how to leverage big data analytics. However, many employers have failed to keep up with these changes. The document advocates for rethinking how companies attract, engage and manage talent through improved recruitment tools, talent communities, and network recruiting.
THE SKILLS CURRENCY: UNLOCKING INTERNAL MOBILITY WITH REAL SKILLS DATAHuman Capital Media
Employers want and need employees with certain skills to stay relevant and competitive. Employees don’t have them. So what can organizations do to future proof their teams and their company? External hiring is usually the first place organizations look, but it’s time-consuming and expensive. There is power in devoting time to internally solving the skills gap. Benefits include a more skilled and competitive workforce, and employees with longer tenure. Successful CLOs realize that their employees are a competitive advantage, and they deserve the same (if not higher) investment than what we put into our products. So what can you do? For starters, begin looking for ways to measure your people's skill-sets so you know where gaps exist. Join us for this webinar to learn more.
In this webinar:
Understand the symptoms of misplaced skills in your company and the labor market at large
Understand the business case for correcting misplaced skills in your company
Learn a framework for putting the right skills in the right place at the right time through talent management and upskill plans that align to company objectives
This document summarizes 10 key human capital trends from 2017 to 2020 according to annual surveys. The trends include the changing nature of careers, learning, talent acquisition, employee experience, performance management, leadership, digital HR, people analytics, diversity and inclusion, and the future of work involving new technologies. Organizations are shifting from hierarchies to empowered networks and teams and redesigning jobs to leverage both human and technological capabilities. Learning is becoming more continuous, personalized and integrated with work. Well-being, the hyper-connected workplace, data privacy, and social impact are also emerging as important issues.
