Outline to the plot
The plot is about an athlete
who strives to succeed, he is
motivated by his losses. It’s
a success story, so we will
follow him through the
story to victory.
Detailed breakdown of the opening
  sequence
• The opening clips will be clips from rowing events, showing
  winning/ losing.
• Will fade to black from clips of the boat race, and then will
start the training sequence by an alarm clock going off
• We watch the athlete go off to training in the early
  morning
• And then follow him through a training session. We will
watch him row on a rowing machine, do weights such as
leg press, squats and bench press.
What style/tone I am aiming for
• For it to attract to the larger sports genre
audience than the niche market of just
rowing fans, I will have to include quick
paced cuts to keep all audiences
  interested.
• The atmosphere I want to create through
my film opening is a feel good but serious
movie. I will use lighting to create a sense
of the underdog. It will have darkness with
patches of light in the shots, to be a visual
  representation for success from nothing.
My target audience
My target audience will be all athletes, fans of success
story's, rowing fanatics, and other people with a
link/interest for these genre of films.
Mainly aimed at a younger than 35 audience, who are
interested in sports, in particular rowing.
More males will be attracted to this film because the
training will include doing a lot of weights which is
attractive to a more male audience
