This document provides a summary of various camera shots that could be used to film a scene. It describes long shots to establish the setting, medium close-ups to introduce the main character and show his anxiety, and close-ups during a phone call conversation and flashbacks. A medium shot shows the character arriving at a door and being let inside. A high angle shot would capture a brief conversation going up stairs. A master shot provides a view of the inside of the house. The scene ends with a medium shot of the characters sitting on the couch as one inquires what happened.

Used at the very beginning, to show the „world‟ (town)
the story is based in, as well as introduce a running
figure

3. Medium Close
up
Used to introduce the main character‟s face, as well as
his anxiety while he rests for a moment to catch his
breath
Cut to the next shot: Close-Up

4. Close Ups
Shows Antonio answering his phone and addressing
someone as „J‟. In their conversation, quickly do a
medium close-up of Antonio looking around, then back
to him talking on the phone.
Fade to the flashbacks, while doing close ups on his
feet, hand (with the phone in it) and face in-between
them.

5. Flashbacks
Used to give the situation some context:
 Over-the-Shoulder Shot: Shows „Hector‟s‟ face
 Close-up: Shows Hector in an argument with
Antonio
 Medium Long Shot: Shows Antonio punching Hector
and running out of the house

6. Medium Shot
This shot is used to show Antonio at the door, and J
answering it. They hug briefly, and Jason lets him in,
looking outside for people.

7. High Angle Shot*
This will show Jason walking up the stairs behind
Antonio while they have a brief conversation.

8. Master Shot
Shows the inside of Jason‟s house, and at this point
Antonio slouches on the sofa.
The next shot is cut to.

9. Long Shot
Jason goes to get Antonio a drink, and tells him to relax
The next shot is cut to from this scene.

10. Extreme
Close-Up*
Shot of Jason‟s mouth, to emphasise his speech: he
says, “You know you fucked up?” and after a short
pause, “How the hell do you think I found out?! *sign*
Anyway, I‟ll deal with this later – I‟ve got company”

11. Medium Shot
Shows the characters sitting on the couch, and ends
with Jason inquiring what happened.
