Product We are creating an opening of a brand new horror film and it has to be 2 minutes long.
Target audience Our target audience is 15 years+ because it may have psychological issues that they may not understand. It applies to male and female as both genders watch horrors. We wanted them to respond a bit scared and anxious to what happened but also intrigued into what is going to happen further on in the film, therefore want to watch more.
Media Languages Camera work - We will be using a lot of close up shots to show emotion on the boy/mans face. Also a birds eye view will be used to show the audience a clear shot of what the children are doing. Editing - Lighting - We are going to have the lighting quite dim and dark to give a mysterious mood and atmosphere. Sound- Non-digetic sound will be the music over the top and sound effects such as when it zooms into his eye. Digetic sound will be dialogue and natural sounds effects. Mise-en-scene - There will be one setting which will be the bedroom but as there is a difference between time the room will be dressed differently so it shows the audience from when he was a child to an adult.
Institutions ,[object Object],Titles: Title of film :
Representations In horror films there are usually women involved as, as an audience we usually feel sympathy for a woman as to a man, also women tend to scream so that adds to the effect of being scared. However, we are going against all stereotypical types in our opening scene and using males. This was because we wanted to see how audiences would react to a male victim/main character and to add affect to the film.
