WELCOME TO AUSTRALIA
In fact, Australia is the world’s sixth
largest country. As a very large island,
Australia’s climate is generally dry,
that is, arid to semiarid; temperate in
the south and east; tropical in the
north. The terrain, that’s the type of
land surface, is mostly low plateau
with deserts, and fertile plain in the
southeast. The lowest point in
Australia is Lake Eyre at -15m. The
highest point is Mount Kosciusko,
that’s spelt KOSCIUSKO, at 2,229m.
Now I should tell you
that the country of
Australia is made up of
six states and two
territories. There are
the Australian Capital
Territory, New South
Wales, The Northern
Territory, Queensland,
South Australia,
Tasmania, Victoria, and
Western Australia. The
national capital is
Canberra.
Australia's national animal
is the red kangaroo
(Macropus rufus). Also
known as the red giant
kangaroo, it is the biggest
land mammal that's native
to Australia. Red kangaroos
are plentiful in Australia,
and they are listed as “least
concern” for conservation
status.

The opera house is also a tourist destination not to
be missed. The Sydney Opera House ( Sydney Opera
House, abbreviated SOH) is considered the most
famous symbol of the city of Sydney and the whole
of Australia. This is a unique and beautiful
architecture in the shape of seashells or sails full of
wind. SOH is one of the most representative
architectural works of the 20th century and one of
the most famous performing arts venues in the
world. Located at Bennelong Point in Sydney
Harbour, close to the Sydney Harbor Bridge, the
building and its surroundings create a distinctive
Australian image. The Opera House is a venue for
chamber concerts, ballet, drama, and music.
Sydney Harbor Bridge is the largest steel bridge in
the world. This is also a famous tourism symbol and
the pride of “kangaroo land” .The wharf is nicknamed
“ The coat hanger ” due to its dome-inspired design.
When you have the opportunity to visit Sydney
Harbour Bridge, you can take a walk from one end of
the bridge to the other, or climb to the top of the
bridge to see outstanding architecture such as the
Sydney Opera House. Today, the wharf has become
an important part of Sydney’s image. It is a famous
tourist icon that always appears in the itinerary of
any Australian tour.
