This document discusses developing a metadata framework to improve findability of clinical trials. It describes the current challenges finding trials and outlines a new approach using standard clinical vocabularies and a clinical study ontology. This design captures trial details like conditions, procedures, drugs and associates standard codes and terms. This improves interoperability by integrating trial data with health websites, departments and research organizations. Initial outcomes include increased inquiries at a cancer center, leading to more appointments and signed consents. The goal is to translate medical research for better patient findability.
