This case study analyzes Home Office exit checks data from April 2015 to April 2018 to understand circular movement patterns of non-EEA nationals entering and leaving the UK. It identifies four groups based on frequency of journeys and aims to explore implications for migration statistics, emphasizing the need to improve definitions and measurements of circular migration. The research highlights gaps in capturing EEA nationals and those on visit visas, requiring further investigation to refine understanding and impact on UK society and economy.
