INDULLEIDA ORIGINS
• Union of more than 150 fruit cooperatives of Spain & southern France,
founded in 1980, with the aim to increase the value of both fruits and
vegetables of the Mediterranean area
• Those 150 cooperatives from Spain & France ( which represent 15.000
producers/farmers ) are both the owners and suppliers of the fruit
• Indulleida is recognized as Transnational Association of Producers Organization
by the European Union
• Nowadays we sell to more than 60 countries. Tournover of group: 75 M€

• 1981: Beginnings :Apple and pear juice concentrates.
• 1986: Plant of purees and storage in aseptic and refrigerated tanks (First
factory to use these kind of storage in Spain and fourth in Europe)
• 1992: Orange juice production line
• 1998: Specific products « baby food ». Fruits fibres.
• 2000: Cogeneration. Fruit peel drier
• 2002:Blending for drink industries -purees concentrates-citric cells.
• 2004:Compotes –Deionised products
• 2006:Logistics Area / Customs Warehouse
• 2008: Specific equipment to remove black spot & foreign bodies from citrus
cells
• 2010: Fruit preparation line.
• 2011: Acquisition of Zufrisa company ( 51% stake of the company)
• 2012: Natural Fruit Aromas. R.I. Natural Partnership
• 2013/2014: Improvement on fruit drying process (Baby Food approach)

a refined product
• NATURAL FRUIT AROMAS:
– Obtained from the steam evaporated in the
first step of the puree concentrate production.
– Apple, peach, pear and strawberry available

– Terpene recovery from peels (mainly
citrus).

THE FUTURE OF THE INTEGRAL USE OF
THE FRUIT
• To obtain beneficial molecular compounds present in fruits and
vegetables which could be used as functional ingredients,
nutraceutical complexes, natural colourings or bases for cosmetic
products.
– Polyphenols: natural colourings, antioxidants
– Phytosterols: functional food
– Sugars obtained from the pulps and peels before processing them
for pet nutrition .

A European Project supported within the Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development INDULLEIDA ORIGINS • Union of more than 150 fruit cooperatives of Spain & southern France, founded in 1980, with the aim to increase the value of both fruits and vegetables of the Mediterranean area • Those 150 cooperatives from Spain & France ( which represent 15.000 producers/farmers ) are both the owners and suppliers of the fruit • Indulleida is recognized as Transnational Association of Producers Organization by the European Union • Nowadays we sell to more than 60 countries.
