A training on basic MS Excel and data entry skills will be held from March 31st to April 15th 2015 in Bo, Sierra Leone. The training aims to build the data entry capacities of Ebola response teams and equip them with skills in data collection, processing, and reporting using MS Excel. Participants will learn how to create Excel databases from remote data and understand key steps like opening and saving workbooks, different data entry levels, and post-data analysis. The schedule covers topics such as the Excel interface, basic data types, working with sheets, tables and forms, formatting, formulas and functions, customization options, and data visualization with charts.

2. Introduce data entry and processing procedures and techniques for the

4. To continue the capacity building activities in the district.
5. To Equip the Bo DERC Ebola response team with basic data entry
techniques using MS-Excel.
6. To improve the Bo DERC Ebola response team’s performance in the Ebola
intervention report generation

Expected results
After completing this exercise, participants should be able to create a simple
excel database from available datasets from remotely collected data. The
participants are expected to carry out and have an understanding of the following
steps of data entry;
1. Opening and Saving individual workbooks.
2. Diferentiate the various data entry levels.
3. Carry out a post data analysis.
