Step 1. Cold Calling - Refer to #1 training
Best time to call
• Mon: 1.30-4PM
• Tue/Wed/Thur: 9-11.30AM and 1.30-4PM
• Friday: 9-11.30AM

Event Name: AMA Marketers Networking Gala
Objective: connect between companies and CSUF marketing students.
Attendees: 10 companies; open to AMA members (150+) & all CSUF students
Event format: networking + marketing case competition.
Each company will contribute a case study for the competition.
Time: Wednesday, March 9th, from 6PM - 9PM
Location: TBD
This is a FREE event - but we’ll attach sponsorship package :”)
WHY COME? Meet talented marketing students, share their jobs/internship opportunities and find the right
candidates for their company
If they can’t make it to the Gala → Offer them other opportunities: Company tour; Speaker event; …

Step 2. Invitation email
• Based on email sample - Keep the same contents!
• Use your own words!
• Repeat some special contents you talked on the phone
• Attach 2 files: Case sample + Sponsorship package
• Send within 2 hours from your call
Step 3. Follow-up until event day
REMEMBER: NO FIXED FORMAT !!!
• Be responsive - Reply within a day
• Try to call their name (but no more than 2 times in an email)
• Update them frequently (Ex: location)
• If they don’t reply after 1 week → send a friendly remider
• Always CC :”)

The day before event
• Send them parking information.
• Attach map
• Give them your number
Setting up before event
• Before event: guide them to the event room
Step 5. After the event
Thank-you card
• Write a Thank-you card and give them after the Gala
• With a big smile and a big hug :”)
Thank-you email
• Write a Thank-you email for them at March 9’s night!
• Remind them of what they did for us & how we appreciate their involvement.
• Send them their professional photos at the Gala
• Make it a personal conversation! This email is personal and you don’t need to CC
