- #2 These are the top 10 slide tips from an article done by Garr Reynolds. All of these pertain to increasing the quality of a powerpoint presentation.
- #3 Don’t make the slides the star of the show. Don’t put too much information on the slides, be prepared and speak while looking at the audience.
- #4 Don’t put too much text on the slides. It confuses the audience and causes them to either lose interest or to just read the presented slides and not listen to you, the presenter.
- #5 Don’t put an excessive amount of effects in your powerpoint. Again, it will distract your audience’s attention away from the points you are trying to get across.
- #6 Never use poor quality graphics in your powerpoints. High quality graphics will make your presentation look more professional and grab the audience’s attention.
- #7 Use a constant visual theme throughout your presentation. The audience likes consistency.
- #8 Use various types of APPROPRIATE charts. Switch up the kinds of charts and even use tables as well for comparisons.
- #9 Colors evoke feelings. Using bright and attention catching colors will gain your audience’s attention.
- #10 Use the same font throughout the entire presentation. Try not to change up the size of the fonts as least as possible through the powerpoint.
- #11 Videos also help grab the audience’s attention. They want visuals and other stuff rather than just the presenter talking.
