The Customer Master Data foundation will support and accelerate the various Business Initiatives

Project #3: Institutional Customer Integrity
Description
The Institutional Customer Registry (ICR) provides Data Stewards the ability to manage data
integrity and customer matching in a central repository. The initial implementation of ICR was to
support a small number of data stewards accessing the application. As such a very basic user access
model was implemented within ICR which provides access to all screens and functionality. In order
to support future requirements (potential to move tasks off-shore), the need to introduce additional
user groups in ICR needs to be accommodated.
As the integration of more source systems continues into ICR, analysis of customer data has revealed
evidence of multi-party customers e.g. customer records representing more than one party. This
poses a problem for customer matching which is based upon matching of sole-party customer
records. An interim solution is sought to address this, however over a longer period a permanent
solution will need to be established at the source

provisioning system for all services offered by Etisalat. CMDS receives the Service Provisioning
requests from Etisalat Customer Care Systems and automates provisioning requests at Etisalat Core
Network Elements.

sends some response through web services to front user.

Description
The Extensible Provisioning Protocol (EPP) was selected as the Registry-Registrar Protocol for
communication between AusRegistry’s Domain Name Registry and the Registrars who are licensed to
interact with the Registry. The core specifications provide for management of domains, Internet hosts
for the purpose of DNS delegation, and contacts for the purpose of enabling communication with the
entities responsible for a domain name registration. In order to communicate with an EPP-based
domain name registry, a client –usually a Registrar – needs to send commands in the form of XML
documents to the Registry system and receive and interpret the responses returned by the server.
The format of the commands and responses is formally specified in XML schema which form
part of the EPP specifications. MML Server receives the XML command from Registry server and it will
generate the MML command, MDS Demon will receive the MML analysis and splitting into that MML
into parameters. After that it’s establish a connection to server and sending that parameters as
