A phone interview is typically the first round of interview
conducted before a face-to-face interview with the hiring
manager. One must take this round seriously as it is the
first step towards landing your dream job.
Here are a few tips to help you succeed in the
phone interview.

#1. BEFORE THE INTERVIEW
If you have an interview scheduled already, you can be
prepared. But if an interview call takes you by surprise,
schedule it for a later date and time, as unscheduled
interviews are less likely to work in your favour.
Be prepared: Thoroughly research the company & the
interviewer, just like you would if you were to meet the
interviewer in person. Prepare questions and rehearse
their answers.
Be comfortable: If you do not have much experience with phone
interviews, you might find them more stressful than one-on-one
interviews. Hence, make sure you are in a comfortable
environment and shut out all distractions before the interview

Be patient: If you do not get an immediate response,
be patient. Follow up after one week of the interview
and again after two weeks. Make sure you are professional
in your communication and do not sound desperate.
Face the reality: You may or may not make the cut. If
you succeed to impress the interviewer you will either
