Editor's Notes

  1. The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) – a well-established International Association with membership throughout the world.   TIACA represents, supports, informs, and connects every element of the global air freight supply chain, all the major segments of air cargo and the air logistics industry, such as: combination and all-cargo airlines, forwarders, airports, ground handlers, road carriers, customs brokers, logistics companies, shippers, IT companies, aircraft and equipment manufacturers, trade press, and educational institutions.
  2. TIACA being fully knowledgeable of the needs of the industry and its members representing the whole global air cargo supply chain, from the owners of the cargo (shippers or consignees) to integrators, forwarders, airlines, infrastructure providers and all other stakeholders, provides services and promotes the key interests of the industry in four major directions.
  3. TIACA has signed three Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with key Latin American organizations and appointed a sales agent to further grow its presence in the region. The MoUs are with Buenos Aires, Argentina-based Americas Alliance (AA), Bogotá, Colombia-headquartered Federation of National Associations of Cargo Agents and International Logistical Operators of Latin America and the Caribbean (ALACAT), and Santiago, Chile-based logistics provider AGUNSA
  4. For over 25 years, TIACA has organized the bi-yearly Air Cargo Forum and Expo that attracts senior transportation leaders and companies from around the globe for a three day event. This year, the ACF will be in Toronto Canada, Oct. 16th-18th where TIACA is organizing educational and informative panels on issues challenging the air cargo industry along with creating workshops that look ahead and challenge attendees to take action.
  5. This event is an excellent opportunity and for companies, dealing in the air cargo business to promote themselves and to enhance the international connections. With the growing complexity of the air cargo business, wide spreading use of the electronic documentation, new technologies like Blockchain and Backbone this will be the place to learn and to demonstrate the advances of your company know-how.
  6. TIACA also will be organizing an expo to allow companies and countries to showcase and inform visitors about the opportunities they provide. For the 1st time in the history of the TIACA Air Cargo Forum, we will have several major freight forwarder and shipper associations join us with meetings and organized events that will increase networking opportunities.
  7. The format of them event is offering an excellent opportunity for related companies to establish a joint pavilion which can make a significant point about advancements within your Association, country, group of companies…(chose depending on the audience)
