This document discusses the growth of Titanium and its future direction. Titanium has grown significantly, with over 250 million mobile devices, 580,000 registered developers, and 68% of Fortune 100 companies using it. The upcoming Titanium 3.3 release will include 150+ bug fixes and performance improvements. Titanium's next major release, Titanium 4.0 (Ti.Next), will significantly re-architect Titanium for better performance and app size using a new compiler called Hyperloop. Hyperloop compiles JavaScript into native code for cross-platform development and will allow various integration modes. While Ti.Next is still in development and has no set release date, parts of Hyperloop are already being incorporated into the current

Hyperloop turns JS code into native code by mapping the
native APIs into JS syntax
Hyperloop will be (mainly) used byTitanium platform
developers to buildTitanium APIs or modules
A more traditional compiler architecture:
Front-end (parse and transform JS AST)
Back-end (generate native, platform specific code)
+Metabase (metadata about target platform)

extensions, etc.)
