 Digital Marketing is the process of building and maintaining customer relationships
through online activities to generate sales and/or capture customer that are
searching on the internet for answers.
Why are people going online ?
 The internet was originally developed as a communication tool for the military, but since its
invention, it has evolved far beyond that. Given that there are roughly 2 billion internet users
worldwide, the reasons people go online are many and varied. To list off all of them would
take more time than any of us have, so here are few of the primary reasons people go online.

Search engine optimization(SEO)
 Search engine optimization(SEO) is the process of getting traffic from the free
organic natural listings on search engines.
 All major search engine optimization such as Google, Yahoo and Bing have such
results, where web pages and other content such as videos local listings are shown
and ranked based on what the search engine considers most relevant to users.
Payment isn't involved, as it is with paid ads.
Pay per click(PPC)
 PPC stands for pay-per-click, a model of internet marketing in which advertisers
pay a fee each time one of their ads is clicked. Essentially, it’s a way of buying visits
to your site, rather than attempting to “earn” those visits organically.
 Search engine advertising is one of the most popular forms of PPC.
