At Memorial Health System (MHS), responsibilities include the design, development and
implementation of an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) which serves as the foundation for
healthcare Business Intelligence (BI). This work effort involved :
Managing a team of 11 individuals who are responsible for the movement of acute and
ambulatory clinical data, as well as financial and employee workforce data into our warehouse
for Business Intelligence reporting purposes, and the design and development of the BI layer,
Obtaining executive sponsorship for the Business Intelligence initiative,
Creation of a 5-year Business Intelligence roadmap,
Developing RFI / RFP and assessment of responses,
Selection of vendor to assist with staff augmentation for BI development,

multi-faceted by managing open system engineers (servers and storage), mainframe engineers (IBM
Z890 and Z9, and associated storage), Capacity Planning and Performance Monitoring (CPPM), as
well as the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) team. Also served as the
Chairman, Business Continuity Steering Committee

saving the State of Illinois hundreds of hours per year in processing time.
