Discussion: Research Project Review consists of
presenting your Results and Discussion sections of your
Research Project and providing professional feedback to your
peers. These activities will enable you to continue honing your
scientific writing skills (being concise and precise) and using
the systematic organization of a professional empirical paper. It
forces you to consider research results within a bigger picture –
how do findings fit, contradict, and expand our current
understanding in the field? Try to see multiple perspectives in
the interpretations to avoid confirmation bias. Sharing your
research findings with the scientific and lay community is
essential to expanding our understanding of mental processes
and behavior, with the ultimate goal of bettering the lives of
ourselves and others. Receiving and providing constructive
feedback related to scientific writing is a professional skill that
deepens as one’s knowledge of research methods and statistics
expands. As we near the end of this course, this is your chance
to illustrate your deepened understanding of these concepts. See
the Instructions document for further information.

Sun Coast Remediation Course Project Guidance
Background
To help make a connection between business research and its
use in the real world, this course
will use an iterative course project. Throughout the term, you
will serve as the health and safety
director for Sun Coast Remediation (Sun Coast).
Sun Coast provides remediation services to business and
governmental organizations. Most of
their contracts involve working within contamination sites
where they remove toxic substances
from soil and water. In addition to the toxicity of the air, water,
and soil their employees come
into contact with, the work environment is physically
demanding and potentially contributory to
injuries involving musculoskeletal systems, vision, and hearing.
Sun Coast genuinely cares about
the health, safety, and well-being of their 5,500 employees, but
they are also concerned about
worker compensation costs and potential long-term litigation
from injuries and illness related to
employment.
Health and Safety Director Task
Sun Coast hired you last month to replace the previous health
and safety director, who left to
pursue other opportunities. This is a critical position within the
company because there are many
health and safety-related issues due to the nature of the work.
The former health and safety
director was in the midst of analyzing these issues through the
implementation of a research
project when she left the organization.
3
Sun Coast Remediation Course Project
Introduction
Senior leadership at Sun Coast has identified several areas for
concern that they believe
could be solved using business research methods. The previous
director was tasked with
conducting research to help provide information to make
decisions about these issues. Although
data were collected, the project was never completed. Senior
leadership is interested in seeing the
project through to fruition. The following is the completion of
that project and includes the
statement of the problems, literature review, research
objectives, research questions and
hypotheses, research methodology, design, and methods, data
analysis, findings, and
recommendations.
Statement of the Problems
Six business problems were identified:
Particulate Matter (PM)
There is a concern that job-site particle pollution is adversely
impacting employee health.
Although respirators are required in certain environments, PM
varies in size depending on the
project and job site. PM that is between 10 and 2.5 microns can
float in the air for minutes to
hours (e.g., asbestos, mold spores, pollen, cement dust, fly ash),
while PM that is less than 2.5
microns can float in the air for hours to weeks (e.g. bacteria,
viruses, oil smoke, smog, soot). Due
to the smaller size of PM that is less than 2.5 microns, it is
potentially more harmful than PM
that is between 10 and 2.5 since the conditions are more
suitable for inhalation. PM that is less
than 2.5 is also able to be inhaled into the deeper regions of the
lungs, potentially causing more
deleterious health effects. It would be helpful to understand if
there is a relationship between PM
size and employee health. PM air quality data have been
collected from 103 job sites, which is
4
recorded in microns. Data are also available for average annual
sick days per employee per job-
site.
Safety Training Effectiveness
Health and safety training is conducted for each new contract
that is awarded to Sun
Coast. Data for training expenditures and lost-time hours were
collected from 223 contracts. It
would be valuable to know if training has been successful in
reducing lost-time hours and, if so,
how to predict lost-time hours from training expenditures.
Sound-Level Exposure
Sun Coast’s contracts generally involve work in noisy
environments due to a variety of
heavy equipment being used for both remediation and the
clients’ ongoing operations on the job
sites. Standard ear-plugs are adequate to protect employee
hearing if the decibel levels are less
than 120 decibels (dB). For environments with noise levels
exceeding 120 dB, more advanced
and expensive hearing protection is required, such as earmuffs.
Historical data have been
collected from 1,503 contracts for several variables that are
believed to contribute to excessive
dB levels. It would be important if these data could be used to
predict the dB levels of work
environments before placing employees on-site for future
contracts. This would help the safety
department plan for procurement of appropriate ear protection
for employees.
New Employee Training
All new Sun Coast employees participate in general health and
safety training. The
training program was revamped and implemented six months
ago. Upon completion of the
training programs, the employees are tested on their knowledge.
Test data are available for two
groups: Group A employees who participated in the prior
training program and Group B
5
employees who participated in the revised training program. It
is necessary to know if the revised
training program is more effective than the prior training
program.
Lead Exposure
Employees working on job sites to remediate lead must be
monitored. Lead levels in
blood are measured as micrograms of lead per deciliter of blood
(μg/dL). A baseline blood test is
taken pre-exposure and postexposure at the conclusion of the
remediation. Data are available for
49 employees who recently concluded a 2-year lead remediation
project. It is necessary to
determine if blood lead levels have increased.
Return on Investment
Sun Coast offers four lines of service to their customers,
including air monitoring, soil
remediation, water reclamation, and health and safety training.
Sun Coast would like to know if
each line of service offers the same return on investment.
Return on investment data are available
for air monitoring, soil remediation, water reclamation, and
health and safety training projects. If
return on investment is not the same for all lines of service, it
would be helpful to know where
differences exist.

Research Methodology, Design, and Methods
After providing a brief introduction to this section, students
should detail the research
design they have selected and why it is an appropriate research
approach for addressing the
business problems. Use the following subheadings to include all
required information.
Delete instructions and examples highlighted in yellow before
submitting this
assignment.
Research Methodology
Explain the research methodology chosen for this research
project and provide rationale
for why it is appropriate given the problems.
Research Design
Students should explain whether the research design is
exploratory, causal, or descriptive.
Provide rationale for the choice.
Research Methods
Students should describe the research methods used for this
research study based on the
research methodology, research design, and research questions
and provide a rationale as to why
they were chosen. They might include a combination of
experimentation, descriptive statistics,
correlation, and causal-comparative methods.
Data Collection Methods
Students should specify how the data were most likely collected
to test the hypotheses.
Data collection methods include, but are not limited to, survey,
observation, and records analysis.
Sampling Design
3
Students should briefly describe the type of sampling design
that was most likely used for
the data that were collected. Choices include, but are not
limited to, random sample, convenience
sample, etc. Explain your rationale for your sampling design
selection(s).
Data Analysis Procedures
Students should specify the statistical procedures used to test
each set of hypotheses from
among correlation, regression, t test, and ANOVA. They should
explain why each procedure was
the most appropriate choice.
Example:
Correlation is the preferred procedure to use to test the RQ1
hypotheses since the interest
is whether a relationship exists between an independent variable
(IV) and dependent variable
(DV). Correlation will indicate if there is a relationship between
height (IV) and weight (DV),
the strength of the relationship, and the direction of the
relationship.

Discussion: Research Project Review Assignment Instructions
Overview
This assignment consists of presenting your Results and
Discussion sections of your Research Project and providing
professional feedback to your peers. These activities will enable
you to continue honing your scientific writing skills (being
concise and precise) and using the systematic organization of a
professional empirical paper. It forces you to consider your
results within a bigger picture – how do your findings fit,
contradict, and expand our current understanding in the field?
Try to see multiple perspectives in the interpretations to avoid
confirmation bias. Sharing your research findings with the
scientific and lay community is essential to expanding our
understanding of mental processes and behavior, with the
ultimate goal of bettering the lives of ourselves and others.
Receiving and providing constructive feedback related to
scientific writing is a professional skill that deepens as one’s
knowledge of research methods and statistics expands. As we
near the end of this course, this is your chance to illustrate your
deepened understanding of these concepts.
General Instructions
To prepare for this assignment please review all relevant
documents / instructions listed in the
Research Project Overview related to this assignment.
Please see the directions and due dates for the thread and replies
below, making sure to include all components for maximum
points.
Thread Instructions
For the final discussion board topic thread, you will present
your Results, Discussion, and Reference portions of your
Research Project to your peers. You will submit this as a single
word document to ensure your formatting remains intact. As
always, use APA formatting and conventions for a Professional
Paper (e.g., running head, page numbers, heading levels, and
components). No quotes are allowed – paraphrase, put
information into your own words, and cite appropriately. Please
use the systematic organization presented below:
1. Results –
this will consist of at least two paragraphs, one table,
and one figure
a. Paragraph 1: Demographic section. State your total sample
size and report the descriptive statistics for at least one
demographic question (or refer them to a Figure that displays
your demographic data – although this figure is optional). Note
think about the scale of measurement of your demographic
variable, as it will determine the most appropriate measure of
central tendency and dispersion to be used. (And yes – this
information typically goes in a Method section but we will put
it here for the purposes of this assignment).
i.
For instance, if your demographic is nominal or ordinal,
you would not present mean / standard deviation (e.g., How can
you interpret a gender mean of 1.4?) Make sure you present
information that is meaningful.
ii.
With nominal demographic data, present the percent in
each category (e.g., % males / % females, or % for each race
group).
iii.
If your data is scale, then you can present the mean /
standard deviation (e.g., write-in age, so your sample age ranges
from 18 – 25, with a mean of 22.2 and a standard deviation of
3.1).
b. Paragraph 2: Topic sentence stating the purpose of your study
(i.e. your research hypothesis). Then, state the statistical test
used to assess it (refer the reader to your Table of SPSS output
here). Then, write the statistical test results using complete
sentences (including the statistical notation and whether it was
significant). Similar to homework assignments, you need to
fully state what the results are in meaningful terms (just stating
it is or is not significant isn’t sufficient).
i. Include confidence intervals, effect size, and post-hoc
analyses, as applicable.
ii. Call-out to the Table and Figure within the results.
iii. Include the Table and Figure within your Results section
(they do not need to be placed in an Appendix, rather place
them following the formatting guidelines for inclusion within a
Results section – see Section 7 of the APA Manual).
1. Table must include all
relevant SPSS output. *Note this is not typically
included in a research paper but is a unique requirement of the
assignment as it gives you practice on APA format of tables and
helps the instructor ensure you accurately analyzed and reported
your results. Do NOT include the SPSS output for your
demographic data – this should be presented either as text
and/or as a figure for this assignment.
2. Figure must be related to your tested hypothesis.
2. Discussion –
include the following components in this order:
a. Start with a review of the goal of your study and your
findings.
b. Identify any limitations of your study (e.g., unique
characteristics of the sample or sampling method, limited or
large amounts of variability in your dependent variable)
i. Do not be superficial. Everyone had a sample size of 20. Yes,
this is small. No, it will not “count” as a limitation. Limitations
should demonstrate a depth of thought to your specific research
design procedures.
c. Integrate your results with research you discussed in your
Introduction (or find new articles if you prefer). * don’t forget
to cite appropriately – see Section 8 in the APA Manual!*
i. Note you must cite at least three articles whose results are
comparable to yours at some level (your results can augment,
support, contradict, et cet). Fully explain these comparisons
using
relevant information from the other articles (e.g.,
differences in target populations, different instrument / survey
used to measure the construct of interest).
d. Provide the “big picture” (what results mean for the field,
public policy, and/or for mankind)
e. Offer one suggestion for a future study that builds off of your
results. Why is it important to the field and/or public?
3. References (see Sections 9 – 10 in the APA Manual):
a. Include a reference section for all articles cited in your
results and discussion (there will be at least 3).
Submit your Results, Discussion, and References as a single
word document to ensure formatting remains intact. Your topic
thread must be at least
600 words and is due by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Thursday
of Module: Week 6.
Reply Instructions
This assignment consists of replies to two peer threads.
Respond as if you had been asked to review a peer’s manuscript
being prepared for publication (thus, you can use first person).
No quotes are allowed unless you are quoting your peer to
indicate a particular strength or weakness
. However, these quotes do not count towards the word
minimum. Replies to your peers should be thoughtful, educated,
and professional. Avoid unsubstantiated opinions or claims,
personal comments, or general comments. For each peer reply,
type your response into the discussion area, making sure to
address all of the following components:
·
Identify two unique strengths of the research and/or
assignment. Clearly indicate each unique strength numerically
(e.g., “One strength of your study…”)
· Was the relevance of articles cited in the Discussion clear?
· Did the writer use appropriate terms throughout the paper
based on the hypothesis, research design, and test selected (e.g.,
most likely the researcher did not manipulate any variables, so
there should be no causal inferences)?
· Identify at least THREE areas that could be improved upon.
Be specific (e.g., topic sentences in a specific section, flow of
discussion, contradictory statements). If you quote to indicate
the specific areas of confusion, that is fine but note it will not
go towards your word count minimum.
· Use numbers to explicitly label your three suggestions (e.g.,
“First,”, or even use a numbered list as long as all written
components use complete sentences).
· Cite specific sections of the APA Publication Manual or other
professional source (e.g., assignment instructions, class
presentations or other resources) to support each suggestion.
·
Include a Reference section (one entry minimum).
Please note inclusion of quotes or any of the following will
result in
loss of points:
· “Great job on your discussion post,”
· “I totally agree with everything you said,”
· “Good luck in the rest of the class,” etc.
Your two replies must be a minimum of 150 words each
(references and quotes do not count) and are due by 11:59 p.m.
(ET) on Sunday of Module: Week 6.

This  Discussion Research Project Review consists of

  • 1. This Discussion: Research Project Review consists of presenting your Results and Discussion sections of your Research Project and providing professional feedback to your peers. These activities will enable you to continue honing your scientific writing skills (being concise and precise) and using the systematic organization of a professional empirical paper. It forces you to consider research results within a bigger picture – how do findings fit, contradict, and expand our current understanding in the field? Try to see multiple perspectives in the interpretations to avoid confirmation bias. Sharing your research findings with the scientific and lay community is essential to expanding our understanding of mental processes and behavior, with the ultimate goal of bettering the lives of ourselves and others. Receiving and providing constructive feedback related to scientific writing is a professional skill that deepens as one’s knowledge of research methods and statistics expands. As we near the end of this course, this is your chance to illustrate your deepened understanding of these concepts. See the Instructions document for further information. 1

Insert Title Here Insert Your Name Here Insert University Here 2 Sun Coast Remediation Course Project Guidance Background To help make a connection between business research and its use in the real world, this course will use an iterative course project. Throughout the term, you will serve as the health and safety director for Sun Coast Remediation (Sun Coast). Sun Coast provides remediation services to business and governmental organizations. Most of their contracts involve working within contamination sites where they remove toxic substances
  • 3. from soil and water. In addition to the toxicity of the air, water, and soil their employees come into contact with, the work environment is physically demanding and potentially contributory to injuries involving musculoskeletal systems, vision, and hearing. Sun Coast genuinely cares about the health, safety, and well-being of their 5,500 employees, but they are also concerned about worker compensation costs and potential long-term litigation from injuries and illness related to employment. Health and Safety Director Task Sun Coast hired you last month to replace the previous health and safety director, who left to pursue other opportunities. This is a critical position within the company because there are many health and safety-related issues due to the nature of the work. The former health and safety director was in the midst of analyzing these issues through the implementation of a research project when she left the organization.
  • 4. 3 Sun Coast Remediation Course Project Introduction Senior leadership at Sun Coast has identified several areas for concern that they believe could be solved using business research methods. The previous director was tasked with conducting research to help provide information to make decisions about these issues. Although data were collected, the project was never completed. Senior leadership is interested in seeing the project through to fruition. The following is the completion of that project and includes the statement of the problems, literature review, research objectives, research questions and hypotheses, research methodology, design, and methods, data analysis, findings, and
  • 5. recommendations. Statement of the Problems Six business problems were identified: Particulate Matter (PM) There is a concern that job-site particle pollution is adversely impacting employee health. Although respirators are required in certain environments, PM varies in size depending on the project and job site. PM that is between 10 and 2.5 microns can float in the air for minutes to hours (e.g., asbestos, mold spores, pollen, cement dust, fly ash), while PM that is less than 2.5 microns can float in the air for hours to weeks (e.g. bacteria, viruses, oil smoke, smog, soot). Due to the smaller size of PM that is less than 2.5 microns, it is potentially more harmful than PM that is between 10 and 2.5 since the conditions are more suitable for inhalation. PM that is less than 2.5 is also able to be inhaled into the deeper regions of the lungs, potentially causing more deleterious health effects. It would be helpful to understand if there is a relationship between PM size and employee health. PM air quality data have been
  • 6. collected from 103 job sites, which is 4 recorded in microns. Data are also available for average annual sick days per employee per job- site. Safety Training Effectiveness Health and safety training is conducted for each new contract that is awarded to Sun Coast. Data for training expenditures and lost-time hours were collected from 223 contracts. It would be valuable to know if training has been successful in reducing lost-time hours and, if so, how to predict lost-time hours from training expenditures. Sound-Level Exposure Sun Coast’s contracts generally involve work in noisy environments due to a variety of heavy equipment being used for both remediation and the clients’ ongoing operations on the job sites. Standard ear-plugs are adequate to protect employee hearing if the decibel levels are less
  • 7. than 120 decibels (dB). For environments with noise levels exceeding 120 dB, more advanced and expensive hearing protection is required, such as earmuffs. Historical data have been collected from 1,503 contracts for several variables that are believed to contribute to excessive dB levels. It would be important if these data could be used to predict the dB levels of work environments before placing employees on-site for future contracts. This would help the safety department plan for procurement of appropriate ear protection for employees. New Employee Training All new Sun Coast employees participate in general health and safety training. The training program was revamped and implemented six months ago. Upon completion of the training programs, the employees are tested on their knowledge. Test data are available for two groups: Group A employees who participated in the prior training program and Group B 5
  • 8. employees who participated in the revised training program. It is necessary to know if the revised training program is more effective than the prior training program. Lead Exposure Employees working on job sites to remediate lead must be monitored. Lead levels in blood are measured as micrograms of lead per deciliter of blood (μg/dL). A baseline blood test is taken pre-exposure and postexposure at the conclusion of the remediation. Data are available for 49 employees who recently concluded a 2-year lead remediation project. It is necessary to determine if blood lead levels have increased. Return on Investment Sun Coast offers four lines of service to their customers, including air monitoring, soil remediation, water reclamation, and health and safety training. Sun Coast would like to know if each line of service offers the same return on investment. Return on investment data are available for air monitoring, soil remediation, water reclamation, and health and safety training projects. If
  • 9. return on investment is not the same for all lines of service, it would be helpful to know where differences exist. 1 Insert Title Here Insert Your Name Here Insert University Here Course Name Here Instructor Name Date 2 Research Methodology, Design, and Methods After providing a brief introduction to this section, students
  • 10. should detail the research design they have selected and why it is an appropriate research approach for addressing the business problems. Use the following subheadings to include all required information. Delete instructions and examples highlighted in yellow before submitting this assignment. Research Methodology Explain the research methodology chosen for this research project and provide rationale for why it is appropriate given the problems. Research Design Students should explain whether the research design is exploratory, causal, or descriptive. Provide rationale for the choice. Research Methods Students should describe the research methods used for this research study based on the research methodology, research design, and research questions and provide a rationale as to why they were chosen. They might include a combination of
  • 11. experimentation, descriptive statistics, correlation, and causal-comparative methods. Data Collection Methods Students should specify how the data were most likely collected to test the hypotheses. Data collection methods include, but are not limited to, survey, observation, and records analysis. Sampling Design 3 Students should briefly describe the type of sampling design that was most likely used for the data that were collected. Choices include, but are not limited to, random sample, convenience sample, etc. Explain your rationale for your sampling design selection(s). Data Analysis Procedures Students should specify the statistical procedures used to test each set of hypotheses from among correlation, regression, t test, and ANOVA. They should explain why each procedure was the most appropriate choice.
  • 12. Example: Correlation is the preferred procedure to use to test the RQ1 hypotheses since the interest is whether a relationship exists between an independent variable (IV) and dependent variable (DV). Correlation will indicate if there is a relationship between height (IV) and weight (DV), the strength of the relationship, and the direction of the relationship. 4 References Include references here using hanging indentations like the example below. PSYC 515 Discussion: Research Project Review Assignment Instructions Overview This assignment consists of presenting your Results and Discussion sections of your Research Project and providing professional feedback to your peers. These activities will enable you to continue honing your scientific writing skills (being concise and precise) and using the systematic organization of a professional empirical paper. It forces you to consider your results within a bigger picture – how do your findings fit, contradict, and expand our current understanding in the field? Receiving and providing constructive feedback related to scientific writing is a professional skill that deepens as one’s knowledge of research methods and statistics expands. As we near the end of this course, this is your chance to illustrate your deepened understanding of these concepts. General Instructions To prepare for this assignment please review all relevant documents / instructions listed in the Research Project Overview related to this assignment. Please see the directions and due dates for the thread and replies below, making sure to include all components for maximum points. Thread Instructions For the final discussion board topic thread, you will present your Results, Discussion, and Reference portions of your
  • 14. Research Project to your peers. You will submit this as a single word document to ensure your formatting remains intact. As always, use APA formatting and conventions for a Professional Paper (e.g., running head, page numbers, heading levels, and components). No quotes are allowed – paraphrase, put information into your own words, and cite appropriately. Please use the systematic organization presented below: 1. Results – this will consist of at least two paragraphs, one table, and one figure a. Paragraph 1: Demographic section. State your total sample size and report the descriptive statistics for at least one demographic question (or refer them to a Figure that displays your demographic data – although this figure is optional). Note think about the scale of measurement of your demographic variable, as it will determine the most appropriate measure of central tendency and dispersion to be used. (And yes – this information typically goes in a Method section but we will put it here for the purposes of this assignment). i. For instance, if your demographic is nominal or ordinal, you would not present mean / standard deviation (e.g., How can you interpret a gender mean of 1.4?) Make sure you present information that is meaningful. ii. With nominal demographic data, present the percent in each category (e.g., % males / % females, or % for each race group). iii. If your data is scale, then you can present the mean / standard deviation (e.g., write-in age, so your sample age ranges from 18 – 25, with a mean of 22.2 and a standard deviation of 3.1). b. Paragraph 2: Topic sentence stating the purpose of your study (i.e. your research hypothesis). Then, state the statistical test used to assess it (refer the reader to your Table of SPSS output
  • 15. here). Then, write the statistical test results using complete sentences (including the statistical notation and whether it was significant). Similar to homework assignments, you need to fully state what the results are in meaningful terms (just stating it is or is not significant isn’t sufficient). i. Include confidence intervals, effect size, and post-hoc analyses, as applicable. ii. Call-out to the Table and Figure within the results. iii. Include the Table and Figure within your Results section (they do not need to be placed in an Appendix, rather place them following the formatting guidelines for inclusion within a Results section – see Section 7 of the APA Manual). 1. Table must include all relevant SPSS output. *Note this is not typically included in a research paper but is a unique requirement of the assignment as it gives you practice on APA format of tables and helps the instructor ensure you accurately analyzed and reported your results. Do NOT include the SPSS output for your demographic data – this should be presented either as text and/or as a figure for this assignment. 2. Figure must be related to your tested hypothesis. 2. Discussion – include the following components in this order: a. Start with a review of the goal of your study and your findings. b. Identify any limitations of your study (e.g., unique characteristics of the sample or sampling method, limited or large amounts of variability in your dependent variable) i. Do not be superficial. Everyone had a sample size of 20. Yes, this is small. No, it will not “count” as a limitation. Limitations should demonstrate a depth of thought to your specific research design procedures. c. Integrate your results with research you discussed in your Introduction (or find new articles if you prefer). * don’t forget to cite appropriately – see Section 8 in the APA Manual!*
  • 16. i. Note you must cite at least three articles whose results are comparable to yours at some level (your results can augment, support, contradict, et cet). Fully explain these comparisons using relevant information from the other articles (e.g., differences in target populations, different instrument / survey used to measure the construct of interest). d. Provide the “big picture” (what results mean for the field, public policy, and/or for mankind) e. Offer one suggestion for a future study that builds off of your results. Why is it important to the field and/or public? 3. References (see Sections 9 – 10 in the APA Manual): a. Include a reference section for all articles cited in your results and discussion (there will be at least 3). Submit your Results, Discussion, and References as a single word document to ensure formatting remains intact. Your topic thread must be at least 600 words and is due by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Thursday of Module: Week 6. Reply Instructions This assignment consists of replies to two peer threads. Respond as if you had been asked to review a peer’s manuscript being prepared for publication (thus, you can use first person). No quotes are allowed unless you are quoting your peer to indicate a particular strength or weakness . However, these quotes do not count towards the word minimum. Replies to your peers should be thoughtful, educated, and professional. Avoid unsubstantiated opinions or claims, personal comments, or general comments. For each peer reply, type your response into the discussion area, making sure to address all of the following components: ·
  • 17. Identify two unique strengths of the research and/or assignment. Clearly indicate each unique strength numerically (e.g., “One strength of your study…”) · Was the relevance of articles cited in the Discussion clear? · Did the writer use appropriate terms throughout the paper based on the hypothesis, research design, and test selected (e.g., most likely the researcher did not manipulate any variables, so there should be no causal inferences)? · Identify at least THREE areas that could be improved upon. Be specific (e.g., topic sentences in a specific section, flow of discussion, contradictory statements). If you quote to indicate the specific areas of confusion, that is fine but note it will not go towards your word count minimum. · Use numbers to explicitly label your three suggestions (e.g., “First,”, or even use a numbered list as long as all written components use complete sentences). · Cite specific sections of the APA Publication Manual or other professional source (e.g., assignment instructions, class presentations or other resources) to support each suggestion. · Include a Reference section (one entry minimum). Please note inclusion of quotes or any of the following will result in loss of points: · “Great job on your discussion post,” · “I totally agree with everything you said,” · “Good luck in the rest of the class,” etc. Your two replies must be a minimum of 150 words each (references and quotes do not count) and are due by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Sunday of Module: Week 6. · Identify two unique strengths of the research and/or
