13. show the staff/kids where we’re volunteering
Ask them to say hello to the camera, anything you want to say to the viewers?
Catch the contingent members in action of their service project
R&R:
This one is the most tricky because we DO NOT want to portray ourselves as having fun and
hardly working. Remember, we want to emphasize the service aspect of our trip. So things that
Cecilia can film are:
Ask Core Team (Anthony, Gloria, Tanya) what kind of work they put into planning
Why we’re doing R&R (‘first time since we relaxed since getting here!’)
Explain why this monument is important to the culture
What can we learn from R&R about the culture of Malaysia/Singapore?
Ask Tanya about her preparations for the Walking Tour
Hostels:
Showing the hostels is a great idea to show that we are not on vacation. We need to stay cheap
and since we’re traveling from place to place we stay at hostels. Potential things to film:
ironing clothes, why do we iron clothes?
packing
living arrangements, have you ever stayed at a hostel before?
showers
contingent meetings at the end
water runs
Miscellaneous:
Team Bonding Activities
why team bonding? What’s the importance
What activities? Explain persist necklace and secret angel
REMEMBER: REPRESENTATIVE OF SCOUTS CANADA AND HOW HARD WE WORK
Extra Videos
Before leaving, prepare one video in case Ex Comm becomes off grid. Suggestions are:
Introducing the Ex Comm Team
Introducing the Photography Team
After returning home, we can have a [cheesy] heart warming video:
If you could only use one word to describe your experience, what will it be?
Every contingent will say one word during the trip
make it cheesy AF.
