Thermal flats refers to different mountain climates. Sheep farming and products like pineapples occur between 2000 and 3000 meters, known as the thermal flat climate. Crops like sugarcane, cotton and cocoa are grown in warmer thermal flat climates, while crops like potatoes and maize are grown in colder thermal flat climates. The thermal flat climate is suitable for trees like eucalyptus and is home to birds like condors. Snowy peaks exist above 4000 meters.
